Is it possible to fix a polyethylene kayak using this method?

Yes, I used these rods to patch holes in a HDPE-based floating dock. This float is now tucked away under a houseboat. At the moment, all of these repairs are submerged.

What is the approximate number of rods in a pound?

It's been over a year since I got them, but I believe there were about 15 rods, each about 4 feet long.

Will a plastic welder (round nozzle) be sufficient to repair a plastic radiator crack?

I used a Harbor Freight plastic welder with a round nozzle to fix plastic on a RZR as long as the plastic was HDPE (High Density Polyethelene). Personally, I think a smaller diameter would be better for that welder, but these did the trick.
