I anticipate this roll will last me for at least 20 years based on my usage rate, so it is well worth the $0. 10 price difference. In the 50s If I bought cheaper solder from a manufacturer I didn't know, I would have saved approximately $60 per year.
The 8mm size is for through-hole Parts of the hole & parts of the hole Wire harnesses or other large items can be soldered with 2mm solder. As well as this product, I also use an additional flux, either the Amtech NC-Flux or the Amtech NC-Elite Kester #951 no-clean flux pen or MG Chemicals Rosin Flux pen don't need to be cleaned, and it works great with all of them. Make sure you don't buy cheap stuff, it isn't worth the hassle & Make sure to get a brand as good as.
This product doesn't list rosemary in the description, but there are many other products on the site that do. Solid core products do not have rosin and should not be compared to this product.
I feel like a different person after I clean up my joints using this product. Leaves a mess of flux, but cleans up like a champ.

Saving money on the cheap stuff isn't worth it when it comes to seller. Why would I not spend a little extra for solder that I know will never fail me? This roll will last me at least 10 years, so why wait?.
