Questions & Answers

A large quantity of solder is needed for wiring and connectors of a r/c car battery. The posts can be wired with wire sizes of 10,12, and 14g. A wire of 22g is also connected to another wire. ?

Over the past fifty years I have been working in the electronics manufacturing and repair industry. Here are my thoughts The Kernel Solid Rosin Core Solder Kit 44 features a 63/37 composition (63% tin/37% lead). Solder with a diameter of 0.3 inch is the best solder for most all-around electronic projects. As a result of its 63/37 weight ratio, this solder has the lowest melting point of any tin/lead alloy. With this method you can get onto the connection, heat it up, and then solder it quickly without having to heat up the wires and connections further. It is possible to find thicker solder It could be as large as 062 diameter or even bigger. A diameter of 125 inches. It is possible to solder larger connections using the thicker diameters (such as wires of 10 or 12 gauge). As a backup, you can twist together two or three smaller diameter solder wires to make a thicker solder if you need it. All of these solders are available in your local radio scrap store in 63/37 and 60/40 ratios, but the impurities in those cheaper solders might make soldering a bit more difficult. Also, fluxes used in other solders might not work as well. Below is a list of points to keep in mind When your iron is not hot enough or if it doesn't have enough thermal mass for the heat to transfer quickly, it is difficult to have a good solder connection. It's best to use a hot iron with a power range of 60 to 80 watts so that you can solder as quickly as possible. For electronic work, never use acid core solder or acid fluxes because the leftover acid can be conductive and can leak electricity and cause In addition to "No Lead" solders, there are other types of solders that require more heat for It might be best to use tin/lead alloy solder as a beginner, and just be sure not to eat the solder or lick your hands while working on the project. Once your soldering session is over, wash up. Here are steps to follow for a good solder connection Solder the joint while lying flat and in a position that prevents anything from moving while you work. 3.
If you are using an iron, make sure it is at full heat and that the solder is shiny and fresh. 1. 2. 3. Solder the joint with the tip of the soldering iron. 4 *br The solder wire needs to be placed at a point near the joint and iron tip when the joints are meeting. The tip and the joint will form a thermal bridge (this will allow a thermal bridge to form)*br>5. Once the joint reaches the required temperature, the solder will melt. Continue to hold the solder iron over the joint until the joint reaches the requisite temperature. Make sure the solder is fully wetted and fully spread throughout the joint. 6. *br> Take a step back. The eighth point. Do not move the solder joint until it has cooled. Detailed paragraph 9. Make sure the joint is in good condition. This is ten. There should be no cracks or crystallization and the surface should be shiny and solid. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this I am x*br>Joe

If I use this solder, do I need to add flux?

Kester 44 Rosin Core solder is usually not required to be fluxed when soldering electronic wires using normal methods such as through-hole soldering From the pads on a printed circuit board (PCB), a component is inserted into the hole. This type of rosin flux is an internal part of the solder wire itself, and will clean the solder metal it's placed on. Solder wire is heated and applied to the junction of a metal when it resides on a heated connection. If the rosin flux is cooled, it can be cleaned from soldered connections using isopropyl or rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab or a Q-tip

The holy flux has begun
3/5

According to me, a solder's strong point also endears it to a weak point. Over the years, I have used different kinds of solder (lead-free solder at work) and have soldered on a daily basis. The solder I usually use at home is leaded. Having never played Kester before, I was surprised by the result. Although it doesn't solder as well as other quality leaded solders that I have used, it still leads well. problem with flux is that it is extremely difficult to clean up. After a few months, it turns into a hardened gooey mess and cleanup takes three to six hours Scrubbing and blowing off must be done four times before the problem is resolved. To be honest, it is abnormally difficult to get clean, in fact.

You could say, it is no cleaner, To each his or her own, but that is only half the picture I am of the opinion that After it looks stock and has been cleaned, the job is done.

This tape removes the label from the product
3/5

Although a piece of fiber would be better than a piece of solder Wrapping the product in reinforced shipping tape keeps the cardboard attached during shipping, and the tape cannot be removed without damaging the label, which contains all the important information, such as the Kester brand name, the SN63 PB37 tin/lead ratio, and the price. The rosin core has 3%, and it was manufactured in the year 2000. My job requires me to work with multiple rolls of different types of solder I prefer that each roll have its original product label intact, so I can distinguish the different rolls and reorder the same type when I run out of it.

The solder is easy to use
5/5

Just get it In other words, I had built electronics, fixed guitars, and done synth work for more than two decades before I started using this stuff, instead of generic other solders that the store had on hand. I don't know what else to say other than it would have saved me a lot of time and effort if I had used this and a temperature-controlled iron for the whole process. I am over the moon. It's like night and day, saving me countless hours and making me more satisfied (it turns out I am not as bad as I had thought I was). I get a solid, good-looking result when I switch to good tools Every time looking as good as new). Furthermore, I have tested the product with a good quality (GOT) non-spill cartridge In the interim- We still have very good iron levels after regulating it. If you don't want to solder, then learn from someone else and buy good tools right from the start. A good set of soldering tools makes the whole process much easier and more enjoyable. We need to use tools like this solder so we can achieve our goals. In this case, I do not think you could do much better than Kester 44 if you're purchasing electrical solder. I therefore give it five stars on all counts.

What we are dealing with here is good
5/5

I think this is really, A friend of mine and I made the mistake of buying some generic cheap 63/37 Chinese solder, thinking that "63/37 are just two elements, so they must be bit of solder simply liquefied as it should, just like fine solder. The solder in question This is quality, and because you get so much you can actually get it at a lower price than the cheaper.

The flows are excellent and the value is great
5/5

The solder flows really well and I ran into no issues whatsoever soldering things from through-hole to through-hole. My experience with regular solders was far from ideal, but I think it was worth the investment to switch to this product. The SSOP10 is in need of a hole. With a decent amount of soldering, the roll is a decent size and it looks like it could last for quite awhile. The flux has a little sweet smell to it (I assume) but it doesn't distract my work at all. As a matter of fact, I prefer it to some of the other smells associated with.

The plum

Even if it had another name, "other metal" would smell Would you like to switch on and off small transistors and resistors on a micro PCB like a god or Those of you looking for a solder should check this one out. If you want a lead solder with a superb flux, that will bond your connections like a champ, and give off fumes with a sweet taste of antimony and bismuth salts, then what you need is our lead solder with a remarkable flux. It is then that you should consider this flux core.

Would you like to keep your sperm count as high as possible and live as long as possible? If so, you might instead enjoy handling Rohs solder, and after throwing it across the room you realize you're not cut out for laboratories and electronics. It is inevitable that we will all die sometime. Death is everywhere around us. Our electronic devices no longer need to serve as a constant reminder that Rohs certified solders cause our electronics to fail before their time. tend to like mysterious dangerous men, and what could be more dangerous than someone who is constantly breathing in lead fumes and fire? There is nothing. Here's what I have to say If you happen to be a scientist, place a roll of this negative in your laboratory and watch your pants fall down. It is now clear to me what you are There is an opportunity disparity in the sciences, as fewer women choose to major in the hard sciences due to uninformed gender roles that assign women to careers outside You see, we're now paying for it. Do you realize how difficult it is to hire a lady for your lab? I couldn't have said it better myself. It's no problem for me. I use spools of lead solder, because I use a lot of it. The effect of lead toxicity on the pheromones excreted by a man is undeniable women are drawn to the scent of Bismuth salts and men intoxicated with lead are exposed to unmistakable pheromones. I'm fairly certain Darwin mentions the mechanics of this exact biological drive in his work "The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals" however I would be unable to determine whether it is an example or not. My training doesn't allow me to read such quackery, as I am a scientist, not a biologist. I learned what I do know about women by observing the women I encounter and through talking to Captain It sounds impossible to me, but if you heat up this solder and watch the women come in droves, I can assure you it works. I warn you that Hugh's house will look like an all boy's academy with your lab. Your review mirror needs to be hung with another roll. My word is your bond. We will no longer have the gender gap in the sciences as we have this solder. These actions will improve the quality of life for You shouldn't wait and you should copulate right now. Because it is lead bearing solder, there is not much time left. I will continue to purchase.

I really like it
5/5

My experience has been satisfactory so far, considering I read reviews and watched training videos before selecting this brand, type, and diameter of soldering wire. Kester seems to be the industry standard, or near the top, at least based on how it compares to others in the field. An experiment or two might be worth trying Due to a soldering iron error, my iron was hotter than it should have been. Now that I have turned it down, everything is much more fluid I believe our new solders are better, the tip stays tinned and does not oxidize as fast, and virtually no smoke is released. It's kind of fun to smell the core flux vapors at these lower temperatures! When the core flux is hot enough to burn, then, indeed, the acrid smoke is really bad.
