What is the purpose of the plunger? Could you please explain how it extracts something like a mini broken headphone socket?

A pin extraction tool is made specifically for Molex As soon as the outer part is inserted into the plug housing, the rear part disengages the lock tab, while the plunger pushes the pin or socket out. The headphone jack may be fixed in this way, but I am not sure.

Pin extractor of the highest quality

I was amazed at how well this pin extractor worked! There were a few pins to be removed from the Metrimate connectors on some AMP TE circuit boards. In the absence of this tool, the problem is near impossible to remove. In my opinion, it's a great book!.
