The 60-watt iron can be used to solder metal but has a limited power output, thus it is suitable for electronics primarily. Soldering metals with a well-sized soldering gun like a 140 watt or 200 watt Weller soldering gun (available here on Amazon) is probably more suited for stained glass applications. Likewise, if you want to join together pipes such as those used in plumbing, you should use a torch rather than a soldering iron because of the amount of power (heat) needed.
You can see it in the product description. The temperature can be adjusted from 200°C to 450°C (392°F to 842°F) once for each function
Irrational use of electricity can cause the iron to overheat. In addition, there is another kit that comes with the on/off switch. The ASIN number
240V soldering irons will not work with this soldering iron.

I can't say I have one of those, but it's also not $150. It's a little bigger than my Weller and it's hard to pack in a bag. Therefore, I'm looking for a smaller soldering to use in the field. As a result, I expected to work on a variety of devices, such as a 100 amp power connector or a resistor that had slipped off an 0805 SMT board. Temperature control is a crucial component in this project, which is why I chose I received it and was pleasantly surprised by how well it was packaged. There is a small 60 watt iron, some solder, and a solder sucker, along with various picks and other tools. The screwdriver is an essential tool. It is pretty strange that they always come with these sets of picks attached to soldering irons, as I almost never see the need to use However, the curved end tools provide a good way of grabbing small springs, and the rest is a bit of a pain. As it is, the bag's space is useful for holding a set of flats and JIS cross (not japanese A Philips) driver. There are no problems with the soldering iron. The tips are easy to solder, and it heats up quickly. This $29 field iron doesn't come with a calibrated temp knob, and I suspect it's more of a power switch than an actual temperature knob, but it's certainly decent for a machine of this price. You even get a tiny sponge to clean the tip and replacement tips. The stand is even folding. Several tips are included, which is more than enough for most uses, and unlike many other heater tips, there seems to be a standard "hole into which heaters are inserted" design, so replacement tips should be easy In addition to the soldering tools, all of this comes in a very useful zipper case with plenty of room for a small tool kit (pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, etc. ) in addition to the soldering kit. As for the rest of the tools in the kit, they are of good quality for the price, especially the solder suckers, which are You have the option to - Silicon grease inside the ring will make it last a lot longer than you do! There is old solder included in the package The core is a 60/40 combination of lead and tin, so if you are planning on working on newer boards (ROHS), you may wish to pick up some lead-tin brass. There should be no solder (i. e. tin or copper). There must be a way for you to place an order through Amazon Honestly, I gave it 5 *'s not because it was the best soldering iron I've ever used - as I'm sure there are better ones out there. This is not the case I liked that vendor's bag not just because it was an excellent value, but also because it packed quite a lot of value. You will get good results from this for some time if you are just getting started in the hobby. In my opinion, if you're looking for a field kit, then it will work fine as well.
Although I tried to screw the unit back on, the threads were no longer able to I found this iron to be great with many additional features and tips, but was disappointed when I almost got very badly burned by it. Can I get a warranty with this product?.
This kit was quite pleasant to use. I ordered this soldering iron as I needed a replacement too quickly, since I bought a cheap one from Walmart. Although it is thin and not of exceptional quality, it holds all the pieces and has a few extra tools, such as diagonal cutters and a wire stripper, that will come in handy. The iron it not a temperature controlled iron, as many of your colleagues mentioned. The actual power output is simply controlled by the number of watts It got hot enough to use when the dial was set to 360 - Im thinking it may have been off, I didn't use it until the dial was set to 375. A 350 C setting, on the other hand, would have been hot enough to melt solder, if it weren't a fake As a whole I'm exasperated. The price was excellent for what you got. If you combine this with a cheap "third hand", you'll be amazed at how easy the process will be. Because I loved how beautiful they were coming out with my new kit, I resoldered all of my joints on my Arduino project. I'm exasperated. It should be possible to keep a small diagonal cutter and/or wire strippers at hand. The case looks nice and complete with these items. I'm exasperated. A decent quality of solder is Lead does not exist in this product I don't know what it is, but it is great. I'm exasperated. It is a life-saver to have a solder sucker on hand. I'm exasperated. It's not fancy, but it works and can fit in a small space when not in use. I'm exasperated. As you release header pins from boards with the iron and manage small parts with the tweezers, this is a great way to get them out. I'm exasperated. With a rubber grip on the iron, you are comfortable and well protected against As a whole, I can forgive the temperature knob for not being calibrated properly. Make sure you spend some time getting to know the iron so you can make great.
My guitar work requires this soldering iron, and it does its job well. In my opinion, the only three things that keep me from giving it 5 stars are that it doesn't actually get hot enough for the soldering jobs quickly, that I risk burning wires and components, and that the stand has a little clip and leaves the heated tip out in the air. It was necessary to purchase a different solder for the work I was doing, however there are so many applications for solder that it's hard to blame the maker for this. The case that houses all the extra tools it came with makes it easy to keep the extras safe. I give it 4 stars because I could take care of the work needed of it and because the case keeps all the extra tools safe. My purchase proved to be worthwhile.
A good deal for the price. The soldering iron heats up quickly and is easy to control. All the tips also come in very handy. This stand can be folded up, which is also a nice feature. As part of my particular setup, I store the iron, stand, and tips in a baggy that I pack into a tool box I carry In the orange bag are the other tools and they are over by the solder It makes a lot of sense to keep those tools (a pick, tweezers, and solder sucker) handy, when you have to spend tens of minutes soldering. The soldering station is cumbersome The size and size of ) are nice and small. The plug gets hot as soon as it is plugged in. The first thing I did was fix a water supply line to my irrigation I saw it being dug up and chewed up by the dog. This was an easy splice and it made it so much easier to not have to worry about having a whole soldering station with a base, cords, and stuff sitting around in the dirt getting munched on.
