Unfortunately, this is not quite as well made as it could be

I apologize for the poor design for the tool. Taking out some chips can be difficult, especially for older CPUs. In this case, the tongs are too thin and it is impossible for the upper portion of the tong to fit snugly against the top portion of the IC. Older integrated circuits are more prone to failure, which is not a good thing. If you intend to use it frequently, you might want to consider getting a better one. Cheap ones are to be avoided.

These might have been better if the design were better. Although they are not up to par with others I have tested, they still perform well. The fact that these are free and very useful is a testament to their quality.
