Questions & Answers

Can you please tell me if the torch is already filled or if it comes empty and needs to be filled. Thanks a lot?

No butane is included when the LEXIVON Torch is shipped. Torches and jet lighters are made with quality butane. It can clog and sputter if the torch is used with an incorrect butane. It is important that you use only butane that has been refined at You should do this at least three It is evident that the more times the butane is refined, the better the performance. How about brands that are recommended?

The Neon Universal Gas Lighter Refill 11x Premium Butane (300ml cans), which is quite affordable and works well, is one of my favorite brands.

Does this product allow you to weld jewelry made of silver?

A torch like this could be used to solder silver jewelry. Silver bearing solder that is made for jewelry can be used.

How is it done with a butane bottle? Does it snap in like the refillable clicker lighters or do you transfer the liquid?

Thanks for stopping by. You transfer liquid using butane refill bottles. Please ensure that only butane is used that has been refined at You should do this at least three It is evident that the more times the butane is refined, the better the performance. It is possible for a torch to clog and sputter if the wrong butane is used. In case you require any assistance, please feel free to contact us Contact Lexivon Support. Accessed at www.com

I liked the torch very much
4/5

You're getting a lot of value for your money here. In addition, there are multiple attachments for soldering in this tool and a hard plastic case, so it is quite convenient to carry. This airflow intake could not be adjusted, which limited my enjoyment of the unit. I chose the torch based solely on the picture of the ring that was on the website. Seeing that it looked similar to my torch, I thought it was the same. There was one thing that all of the others did not have, and this torch does as well. One other issue is the slider for the flame lock. For the flame to be locked on, you need to use two hands. Despite the fact that the ignition is pushed by the thumb, it is on the left side of the motor, making it inaccessible by any fingers on the right hand. If you are going to lock the torch on you will need to slide the lock at the same time you light the flame or the flame won't stay lit. As far as I am concerned, these are not major issues I own the torch and do not plan to return It has a very nice 2000+ flame and feels like it is a tool, not a piece of plastic like so many other things these days There is no doubt that it uses a metal tank to ensure safety (five stars). This is something I would recommend With this one, I use it primarily in the kitchen, and I am satisfied with it. Don't forget that what you pay for is what you get.

For some time, I have been on the lookout for a mini torch
5/5

I have read several customer reviews for several brands. The variety of skills I possess enable me to be a handyman and a As a result, I searched for reviews that were relevant to my own situation. I purchased a Lexivon butane torch and received the package one day earlier than I expected. This is a great start. However, I had mistakenly ordered a can of typical butane fuel at the same time. Lighters are supposed to be used for this. Despite the poor quality of the unit and the many tips provided, I was satisfied with the overall design and quality of the unit. Setting it up was a breeze, and it worked well from the first use. Soldering bronze sheet metal and copper wire chain were some of my projects. I also anealed copper wire for some of them. When using solering tips, the torch would no longer light after a bit of time. Lexivon's web site has a customer service link. I contacted them in that way. I immediately got a response from them. It took only one email for my problem to be diagnosed. It turned out to be an error on the user's part. It is necessary to use filtered butane for quality torches. Throughout the weekend, the customer service rep sent me messages to ensure I would be made aware of my problem and to test that the light was working properly. He also told me if the issue persisted, he would send me out an entirely new kit. My torch is now one of my favorite hand tools, and I would not hesitate to purchase any of Lexivon's products. I found it an excellent addition to my workbench, and I am very pleased with the excellent customer service Lexivon provides.

Using this is a real pain
3/5

You need to start it with two hands because it has a safety feature. I cannot hold it in one hand while using it in another. If you put it down, it will fall over since it is front heavy. The results are that it is poorly designed for my use case, where I am picking it up in one hand while applying heat to a part in the other. Gluing the safety switch on fixed the problem, but in the end, I am unable to spark the element. I'm an idiot.

This is junk! The second actual try of the program did not work
3/5

As long as it doesn't even smolder into a full blown torch, it won't ignite. It would also appear to burn only like a paper match if I used a regular lighter to help. I am not sure what was the point of that trip. My return window has closed, which is really upsetting to me. There is no way to stand it up as others have stated. Since it is top heavy and falls over more easily, you cannot get it back down quickly enough to continue your work. In addition, when you start it you need both hands. Moreover, it will turn off when you angle it beyond 90 degrees, so I am going to try another approach. This 45-buck drain is not good. It is not something you should buy if you are going to be.

The program works great! A lot of my use for this little torch has been with a tiny heat gun, which is a big surprise
5/5

I find it useful for handling small spots and heating wax and emulsifying it smoothly. It is only a disadvantage that I have trouble starting the torches. In addition, it only starts half of the time. It also sticks when the safety lock is engaged, making it hard to start (why we need this feature I don't understand). But it's still a pretty little torch, and I like it. This review has been amended. There are some fixes below if you are experiencing the same issues as I am in regards to the flame the mini heat gun feature not working. Be sure to use high quality butane as per the manufacturer's instructions. The issue I have does not fall here, continue reading. You will hear gas hissing and then you'll hear the igniter click that clicks every time you engage the heat gun feature. Gently push the trigger in until you hear the gas hissing and then slowly push it It gives ample time for the tiny chamber to fill up with enough gas to sustain the flame each and every time. This is also true So it turns out that the problem was caused by user error after all. Be gentle when pushing the button and it will light every time. Having reached out to me, the merchant representative told me the thumb safety on mine was sticking, so I fiddled around with it. When I was trying to light the torch using one hand, I snapped the thumb switch, which means the timer is now functioning properly. I would guess the plastic has some flashing on it? However, it appears to be working fine in both right and left hands, and I would like to upgrade my review to a 5 out of 5. This little torch is amazing.

Can't seem to use it, quality issues (received a used item) and doubt the product will last very long
3/5

I wonder how it got to be the best torch light on the market. It is a good product but not great. In my case, there were some missing items in the open box. As far as that goes, as suggested by the seller, I used the premium butane, but the light still did not come on even after 4 hours. A total of five attempts were made. A 3rd issue is that you can not light this with a single hand. You have to unlock the safety with one hand and press the trigger with the other hand in order to light it. Consequently, this torch is almost useless in most cases when I am holding the product to be soldered with pliers in the other hand.
Overall, the torch is difficult to use, of questionable quality (I received a used item) and of questionable longevity.
