In short, yes. The cans of butane must be small
The way I'm looking at it, it would work well. I have not yet done that with it, but I think it's fine for small projects.

I purchased it for use in small soldering jobs. Everything works as it should. The first time I use Igniter it works 90% of the time. There is only one complaint the unit is too heavy. This torch is not very heavy, and even if you attach the base to it, which is detachable, it is still rather unstable when placed on a table top.
Trying to fill it with butane is a challenge.
To use this torch with sterling silver solder paste, it must be heated up to about 900 degrees.
If you're a wannabe mechanic (like me), this product is an excellent choice. This tool has come in handy when I have wanted to heat bolts that might need a little massaging due to corrosion.
This product has a superior quality and durability compared with others I've tried that were similar in price and didn't work at all.
The brazing process I use for fishing rings is similar to that of brazing stainless steel rings. You can get it done in a matter of seconds while it is very hot. I now have no problem refilling. It took a little practice at first, but it is now easy.
An excellent product that you can use in your garage or house.
For 5 weeks, I hadn't used it and the button that clicks start would no longer work. Then it wouldn't I don't understand why it is so expensive for this quality!.
