It's honestly not as loud as it sounds. It's been about 3 months now that I have owned this torch, only thing to watch out for is to make sure that the knob is completely tightened, otherwise the gas will leak. We did not give this torch 5 stars, since it can only be filled with the Blazer brand of butane which is a bit Since the intake valve on the torch is a custom valve, the torch can only be refilled with the brand of butane named on the valve. In spite of trying two different brands which I use on my other flashlights, I could not fill this one. At first, I was going to return it, believing the torch was faulty.
