mat does not provide any way for static generation to be dissipated to ground, as any static buildup will remain on the mat. Because it is silicone, there is a negative charge (small amounts of static charged from general movement will be absorbed) when it is at rest. You should also be aware that it should not generate static while it is running It will generate a positive charge if it is stretched (will go back to natural after a while). Thus, in order to avoid bending or stretching your arm, try not to do so I do believe it is/would make for a good work surface for most ESD work, but, if you need something more specific for critical or certified work, there are other mats you might want to consider. The mats suit my needs for soldering and general electronic/electric work, and I would probably buy them again if I worked any other type of job. Thank you for reading this *br> *br>I hope

I ordered two as a result of the great design and layout. As a result of the shallow and sparse indents, cleaning is easier, and more space is available for working. In so many mats, there are so many boxes and walled separations that reduce the amount of No damage was done when I held it up to a 450C iron. As much as I like the included ruler, I wish they had included a metric ruler as well aligned at This is an affordable price. In the early morning hours of It should be on Amazon's top recommended list since it is 10x14". Large sizes are not as competitive in price It was an experiment for me to order this without any reviews and I am happy with my decision. The best deal on such a large mat can be found here.
It drove me insane learning how to solder after burning wood for so long. The thing that I am looking for can be quite expensive!
I thought I could use one of them.
I bought this for a super low price so my expectations weren't that I am really impressed by the strength of this mat! I dropped many beads and did not burn a single one. After it hardens, cools, and comes off easily, the bead is gone. There isn't a single speck left! My understanding of why this is so affordable is unclear, but I won't complain. Although it's not especially tall or wide, it's perfect for soldering suncatchers and other small objects There is jewelry. This piece is one of my largest at 10 inches and so I will have to move him elsewhere to finish on a flat surface. (Please do not judge my soldering here I am a beginner. LOL) . The mat is 10 inches tall, but for what I'm doing, the mat has to be totally flat & sure. However, it's still possible to use machines that are just 8in tall. The actual size of my bed is 14 in. high and 14 in wide I'm going to flip it over and see if I can use the underneath since I'd like 10 uninterrupted inches. However, given the price and the availability, I am so glad I purchased this! It is This product is for sale! Although stained glass is an expensive hobby, (I'm not sure but if soldering is expensive as well) this mat is a great idea!.
Considering the mat's logo/label describes it as being 22 by 14 inches, I'm inclined to think that someone had made a typo in the Amazon product description picture, not that someone intentionally misrepresented the product. As far as we can tell, Mat looks good. As soon as I've soldered it on I'll post more notes.
Does it work as a baking sheet? I see no problem with that! In all seriousness, it's a great thing when you drop a big blob of solder and you don't melt your mom's With the solder tip at 450Celcius, it does not melt. As far as I am concerned, it's a winner in my book!.
The silicone mat cleanly removes solder from the area left for screws, but in spite of what the description claims, the areas where you can put screws are The silicone mat is a decent deal for the price. The magnetic trays I use to hold screws (for automotive repairs) are magnetic, so I do not need magnetic mats. If you want to hold screws while studying or working, I think it would be wise to know whether or not the mat's supposed magnetism actually works to hold them.
Unless you hate scuffs on your desk, this would be a good option. I occasionally play with electronics, either with layout papers or with an electronic You don't want your knives to soak up oil while you're working on them. The food/drink can also be used as a coaster. The 14x10 size is excellent for my needs because it gives me plenty of work space in the center and on the outside The area for objects is not too large. The following adjustments need to be made The following are the requirements 1) An L-shaped Logo imprint looks better on the back side. 2) round slot for the solder wire fits the cup better. A prime membership for $6 shipped is an incredible deal!.
The work area is well suited for this. So far, it looks like it's working well. It is the right size. The mat does not stick to the solder while soldering RCs, and it is nice to have this area for soldering. This would be a product I would purchase.
It is so cheap, I had to cut it up into pieces to cover the spots when I soldered on the Keeping the jig from getting burn spots is achieved with this. This is an excellent solution! Most of it is still useful on the bench or at my desk as well. As a bargain for the price, I highly recommend this one!.
