In a former life, I used a torch to pop bubbles and bring up cells in acrylic paints. I bought this because I was interested in pouring acrylic paints and it freaked me out to use a torch to do that. My little art projects work well with it, and I can control it very well, unlike the torches I see artists on You Tube using.
There is no way I would recommend it, since I am not sure how it could cause fire in a place where it was not connected and whether the fire was caused by the faulty connection.
The shrink band was bought to use on. The new method allows me to cut down my hair drying time substantially. I simply use the "low" setting all the time since it can stand upright. I have used this a few times and it seems to be well built. I would recommend it.
Since I have been using this for about a month now, I have not had any issues. A bit of smoke was observed after the first use, which I believe was caused by dust on the coil during Since then, I have used it a number of times and I have not experienced this problem.
After reviewing my options, I decided to use SEM plastic repair to repair my cars seats. It is instructed that the curing process be done at high temperatures. The gun is just the right tool for the job. On the low setting, it gets really hot and I find that it does the job. In addition to its low price, this item appears to be well made and durable.
I would highly recommend it.
This is a nice tool, but I needed more adjustability since I am using it for art, but it would be great for projects larger than art.
This heat gun has a variable temperature control. I absolutely love not only the NEU MASTER N2190 1500W Heat Gun Kit with Variable Temperature Control with Overload Protection, but all of their products as well. There are multiple layers of thick finishes that are being stripped, and it is cutting right through them with no trouble at all. I am looking forward to the next job to begin.
This heat gun is awesome! The oil pastels I use for my artwork are melted with it. This didn't work, so I tried using a hair dryer. During the next few minutes, that "new" smell and smokiness disappeared. This is also going to be a useful tool for lots of home maintenance tasks. This one is a lot more versatile than the mini ones that I usually buy for a few dollars less. I'd Even though I am a very amateur artist, I used oil pastels to add dimension to the flowers and trees in this painting.
