Questions & Answers

What is the reason for the difference between a two pack and a one pack?

I don't think that should be the case. These are the types of price increases sellers use when they don't have any items in stock so as not to have to end their listings. Once the item is back in stock, they lower their price so the item can be bought by the public once more. It is unfair for buyers to deal with Amazon in this manner as it creates confusion.

Can you tell me what the diameter of this wire is? I am looking for something. A figure of 125 or a pretty close approximation would be fine. Do you mind if I say thank ?

The diameter of this ring is 125 mm. This is the "standard" diameter for most solders. During the last 40 years, Sunshine has been selling Canfield 60/40 continuously. Despite the fact that it isn't the least expensive solder, it offers the best performance in This silvery liquid has an easy flow and bright In the words of Scott, Sunshine Glassworks Ltd is located at 2804 Main Avenue, Buffalo, NY,

If I use such a solution on copper foil, will it work?

If you are working with copper foil, you can use 50/50 solder. As far as we are concerned, the flow of it is not as good as 60/40.

Does this have a ?

Although I'm not really sure about this question, I used 40 core and 60 lead for stained glass and it worked just fine. I hope that helps

It is important to have quality solder on hand for the job
5/5

It makes sense to me. It is not worthwhile to spend a lot of money for the better solder when you can find cheaper ones elsewhere? Try out the lesser known brands alongside this solder to get a sense of what you like. My belief is that I did, and I'm a convert. As a solder, I believe its flux plays the most crucial role in its quality. Make sure to pay attention to flux as well. As well as Novacan, I am very satisfied with its It is a pleasure to work with Canfield solder. My lines are cleaner and I have fewer heat fractures since I made the switch. It can be cleaned up with fine steel wool before patina application).

In general, it does seem to be worth the extra expense. This is a great book.

Since I have used so many different brands before, this is the one I keep on reaching for! With regard to my stained glass pieces, I have used a bunch of different solders over the years, but I use Canfield 60/40 exclusively
5/5

I won't buy anything else to replace it now. Some of the cheaper brands I have tried have caused me frustration by either not melting evenly or not smoothing out, having to use too much flux to get it to flow, etc. Canfield is consistent and I never have to struggle to get it to do what it is supposed to do. Furthermore, it also pools nicely over foil overlays and patinas well (as shown in some of my crazy ring saw cuts and pieces shown below).

This is the best you can get! Stained glass can be made with this
5/5

No better solder exists than this one! If you're just getting started in stained glass, this is a must have! There are so many artists I know who use this way of working It is certified by him! In my current situation as a new artist, I'm not comfortable dropping $25 on something that needs to be replaced often, but I'm almost halfway through this roll and am still motivated. Thus far, a few small suncatchers have been made! Since I am new and new to this I have a lot of wasted time practicing, dropping, overusing, and filling in gaps. If you're like me and try to save $$$$$ any chance you get, I highly advise you to do the same. If you want to save on anything, I would say go for it This is the only thing that I dislike! Don't be afraid to spoil yourself! Please note that 60/40 is not suitable for jewelry if you are new to this. For that, you will need lead free. It's pretty common knowledge among SG artists, but I didn't know it before I started. My first mistake was to purchase the wrong thickness of solder when I started, but I had already tried using it, so I couldn't return it. That was bad advice, though, which is why I believe there is absolutely no bad advice.

My experience with this product was very positive, and it was also very cost effective
5/5

As sentimental as I am, I found this to be a five-star product for my first soldering project. Soldering is messy, so this stuff came in handy! Getting better at it takes a lot of practice, but I found this product to make the process so much easier, as well as being so cost effective. I am satisfied with my decision to start using this product. In case I learn anything interesting, I will report back after I have more experience with it than another product. The current state of my project is very positive.

I love this for creating stained glass pieces! It is for my stained glass project (I ran out of solder half way through the project, Although I am thrilled to report that not only is the solder of high quality, but it also is a brand I have used from professional stores before - This solder is far more affordable than the ones I purchase on eBay or other websites

I plan on buying my solder from Amazon in the future.

There are two types of Solderfield 60/40

I used to get the same dependable solder at the stained glass store, but I had to pay more to have it shipped. I'm glad I was able to get an Amazon delivery so quickly.

For stained glass, the best solder is copper
5/5

I think this is the best solder I have ever The Studio Pro is superior to all the other products I have tried, and Studio Pro is just the easiest one to learn. It is worth the extra $2 for the smooth melting and the lack of swearing that you will achieve when the lines are clean. There is no doubt in my mind that I will buy.

In use, the hat looks good
5/5

In my case I am using it to make stained glass, and I am happy with how it melts and spreads as well as it needs to do to make joints look good. The glaze shines well on the joints of glass, so I'm satisfied with the looks and performance.
