You're not going to be able to do it. I had to specifically look for "Direct Thermal" labels when I was looking for them. Just keep in mind that there is no ink cartridge in this printer. It affixes the data to the label by burning it in. It also happens to be extremely quick. If you use the labelvalue, it should work. They're not too expensive at com. This printer had been in use by the person I replaced for about 6 years and was still in good working order. It was for this reason that I selected it. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.
- The Zebra The GK420d can be connected to a computer via USB, serial port, or parallel port.
It doesn't matter what brand of label you use as long as it works with this printer.
Although jewelry tags can be printed, the image area is limited. The printer has a resolution of 203 dpi, and the image resolution is determined by the file size; most jewelry stores use the printer's thermal transfer option, which has a higher resolution of 300 dpi. The GX430T is the name of the model in question. That is our recommendation, but the 420D may also work, though the images may not be as good.

There is no guarantee! I bought this Zebra GK420d from Amazon recently, and it worked for 93 days. When I inquired about the warranty, Zebra stated that they do not support or warranty any items purchased on Amazon. This is something that would have been useful to know before making a purchase. On my desk now is a very expensive paperweight that will not even turn on. Despite reading the description ten times, this fact is never mentioned. br>br>Buyer Beware!.
Pros: It feels solid, the roll is encased in the printer, and it prints quickly. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I was unable to make it function properly. I use a Mac, and the driver software that came with it is for Windows. There are no Mac drivers available for download from Zebra. This isn't a problem because printer drivers come preinstalled on Macs. There are even some for this printer! Unfortunately, these drivers only provide the most basic features (such as the ability to change the paper size). CUPS is required if you want to change the print speed or type. br>br>Which is fine as well - Unless you have a serious problem, such as the printer only printing on the top 1" of labels, regardless of the paper size or line weight. A factory reset / recalibration is required for this. which you will not be able to access unless you purchase third-party software. Either a one-time payment of 1/3 of the printer's cost or a monthly payment. Yes, if you have any problems with your Apple device, you will have to pay to have them resolved using software from a different company. Those options aren't automatically available to you. Users of Windows, on the other hand, can do so using Zebra's free downloads. br>br>So, in a nutshell - You're good to go if you plug it in and it works. It didn't work for me. Whatever adjustments I made, it only printed on 1" of the labels. I gave up after two hours of troubleshooting, reinstalling, and wasting 50 labels because the only solutions I didn't try required purchasing additional software. br>br>I ended up buying another Munbyn printer after returning the first one due to problems. It isn't as sturdy as the first one, and it may not last as long, but setup took 2 minutes rather than 2 hours. It's also effective!.
br>br>At first, it appeared to be a bit of a learning curve from the Dymo, but it isn't. This printer has never let me down; it is of excellent quality and well worth the money. br>br>While you may be tempted to buy "the other brand" because it is less expensive, spending a little more will save you a lot of headaches and weekly issues. There is no comparison in terms of quality- My only complaint is the amount of labels wasted when switching between label sizes. br>br>This is a solid, well-constructed machine that will last a long time. br>br>My only criticism is the amount of labels wasted when switching between label sizes. That is why I am purchasing a second machine.
I bought a Dymo 4xl to replace my Zebra LP2844, which served me well. The Dumb Dymo labels would consistently feed the entire roll after the first 5 minutes out of the box. I was kicking myself in the head for even considering trying something else. br>br>On FBA, I was looking for Zebras and came across this one. It was successfully installed on the Mac. To calibrate the UPS labels, simply hold the button down for two blinks. It only took one minute and 165 labels. Packing slips are also included. There are 330 labels in total. I'm hoping it goes on for as long as the slap did.
Many of these printers have been purchased and installed by me, and they have all worked flawlessly for the past two years. They're heavy-duty label printers that produce hundreds of labels per day. br>br>I only had one problem with a label peeling off in the printer once. (I believe this was due to a user error. ) It was back to working like new after I cleaned up the bits and pieces, as well as the sticky residue left inside the printer. It hasn't had any other problems since.
This thing has me completely enthralled. We send eBay items out three times a week on average. 4 times per week and this label printer was WELL WORTH THE MONEY: lots of settings, no ink required, customizable, works with both my Mac and my PC I honestly believe this was my best purchase of 2020, and I bought a LOT of stuff in 2020.
I had to print my labels on a laser printer, cut them to size, and tape them together before I could buy this. As a result, the Zebra printer saves a significant amount of time and is unquestionably more professional. I was having trouble getting the label to print properly for some reason, but I called support and they were able to assist me right away. The tech helped me make a few adjustments to my setup. Since then, everything has gone smoothly. br>br>I read some negative reviews about the print quality before purchasing it. Although the print quality isn't laser-like, I've never had a problem with it being subpar, and there are some print quality adjustments (or choices) to make when setting up the printer for the first time, so it could be that. br>br>I wish I had purchased this years ago, but I'm glad I did now.
This was a gift from my fiancée to me. Unfortunately, there is no support for MAC users with this printer. I had to return it because the supposed driver that was supposed to make it work wasn't even loading. Apple was unable to assist me, and zebra has stated that it does not provide support to MAC users. too bad!.
