I have two other Brother label printers, but this one is by far my favorite because it allows us to do so much more than our previous Brother label printers. Labels of a larger size and, best of all, wireless are available. br>br>One issue I had was that I couldn't get the printing tool to chain print, but that could be due to the fact that I was using a Mac. This can be a huge waste if you print a lot of labels, as I do, so I'll have to come up with a solution as soon as possible. The 2730 will print the first label with some overlay before printing the rest with exact label sizes. The first label on the P950Nw has extra label, but each subsequent label has a small amount of waste label as well. I've tried numerous approaches to this problem but have yet to find a solution. Although it may not seem like much, I go through at least one cartridge every day. It all adds up to a lot of label waste. br>br>Overall, this printer is fantastic, and I am very pleased with it.
PERFECT for production printing where WASTE is an issue with smaller units. It prints our custom designed labels that we put on products we sell, and it is the fastest and largest printer we've ever seen. LARGE labels (36mm) are approximately 1. The typeface we use is 5" wide and can be read from a distance of at least 10'.
So far, this small printer has performed admirably. It took some time to get used to the software, but it appears to be a good system overall.
This printer was simple to set up and use, with no unnecessary bells and whistles. I simply go about my business.
I chose the 700 because it was the nicest printer I could find in local stores. I went through two PTPs in a row. After only a few label cassettes, each of the 700s was ready to go. In a fit of rage, I went online in search of a more robust option and came across this. It is well worth the money. I'm blown away by the printing options for half-cut chains. The half cut keeps the labels together while cutting them squarely and evenly. When it comes to applying retail labels to products, it saves me a lot of time. The finished product will appear more professional if the cut is perfect. It's also much easier to implement with all of my employees now that I'm connected to the network.
I enjoy using the printer, and it performs admirably. However, it has a flaw in its design. If you change cartridges frequently, you must install them with extreme caution. The circuit board is installed in a vertical position. This printer housing, as well as the circuit board, must pass through your cartridge. It's very easy to catch an edge and rip the circuit board solder connections off, turning this into a desk weight if you don't take care when installing or changing a cartridge. I'm buying another because I'm required to use this model for work, but it's something to think about.
