I was having a similar problem when I came across your query. I couldn't agree with you more, especially since the battery is supposed to be inserted first in the instructions, but it isn't. For anyone else who might be wondering, the battery is a CR2032, and it "is used as a backup power supply to maintain the settings for the internal clock," according to Brother. As a result, it appears that it is a choice.
Using the Brother SDKs for Android 4, you can print receipts with this printer. 3 or later, and iOS 8 or later It is also possible to use AirPrintĀ® with this printer.
Without seeing the roll you're referring to, I'd guess that it's 80mm, which is just over 3".
Because this printer employs Direct Thermal Technology, it can only print in black and white and does not use color ink.

This is a fantastic thermal printer for the desktop. This is about the best you can get for an iOS device. It makes use of non-toxic materials. It uses proprietary labels and prints at 300 dpi. The only flaw I discovered with the printer is that, due to a support issue, it will not print wirelessly from Android devices. Hopefully, Brother will address this in a future update to the Android app. The QL1110NWB is compatible with both Android and iOS, but it uses proprietary labels; this one does not, and it will not work with Android until February 2021. Hopefully, Brother will read the reviews and enlist the help of some app developers. The printer is still a 5 star.
I had previously bought a machine in the $200 range that was less expensive. It had a lot of flaws. This machine can be connected in almost any way imaginable, including printing directly from your smartphone. The only minor annoyance has been that the WiFi connection does not automatically reconnect after a power outage, which is a minor annoyance. It's not a major issue; it's just something to keep in mind. I only use it on wireless, so I don't think it would be an issue with a wired connection.
Why can't a wifi printer wake up automatically for the price we pay? Only when the printer is connected to a computer via USB does it automatically wake up. What good is having wifi if you have to plug it in?.
My previous printer began to print with a line, and I knew it was time to replace it. Even with our tiny font, this printer prints quickly and clearly. I'm blown away! If I had known it could be this much better, I would have upgraded years ago.
But with what else does it work? Nothing. I bought it for a specific purpose. I certify that it is Bluetooth compatible. For the past year, I've struggled with the fact that it doesn't. Every day, I have to plug it in for the most basic of tasks, and each time I do, it reminds me how much I despise this device. br>br>Tried a few different Windows machines. The print quality is satisfactory. It's quite effective. If you don't have it set up correctly, it will be difficult to print.
