in App. We purchased three of these printers to complement PCO's Check-It-Out service. The system is in place. We've been using them for nearly a year. The only issue we encountered was a spotty wifi connection near one of the printers. Because the printer cannot be hardwired, ensure that you have good access points nearby. Advantages: br>br>
- Using Brother's driver, it's simple to set up on a MacBook. br> Connects quickly to the Check-In feature of Planning Center Online. During the application processbr>- Design that is of high qualitybr> br>- Prints quickly Automatically cutsbr>- Long power cords and a large power brickbr>- For easier setup, a printer cable is included with the printer. br>br>Cons:
- If your internet is spotty, make sure the printers are set to use a static IP address. br>- There is no option for a hardwired ethernet cable (only WiFI is available)br>- It would be nice if it had a display screen for set up and when you have an error. br>br>I highly recommend this Brother printer to anyone looking to do digital signing. PCO's Check-In software allows you to log in and print sticker labels. It's all working now!.
Setting up the printer and connecting it to my Wi-Fi network was a breeze. wi-fi network I had to use the included USB cable to connect it to my computer at first, but the wireless features are flawless once untethered. When correctly loaded, the labels are simple to load and waste no paper. The printer prints quickly and with excellent quality. The automatic cutter is quick, but the labels are ejected with a lot of force, so placing the printer too close to the edge of a desk or stand will result in you picking up labels from the floor. The P- is my favorite. Brother offers touch programs for use with the printer that can be downloaded. I like the ability to print Red and Black on supported labels, even though I haven't used it yet. br>br>I don't like having to remove the labels when I'm not using the printer and remember to re-insert the protective sheet when I'm not using it. I'm curious how many people have discarded the protective sheet after failing to read the instructions? Brother might want to print on the protective sheet so that it isn't thrown away! Because Brother has several label printers and the label rolls all look the same, figuring out which labels to use with the printer can be difficult. So far, I've purchased a box of Brother address labels, which work fine with the QL-100. 810W. While this has nothing to do with the QL-quality, it is worth mentioning. The iPrint 810W printer is a high-capacity printer with a wide range of features. For printing address labels on the iPad, the Label app is a joke. If I didn't have to remove the labels and reinsert the protective sheet when I wasn't using the printer, I'd give it five stars.
When it works, it's fantastic, but it's a nightmare to set up due to conflicting instructions. Tech support is hit-or-miss, ranging from true experts to complete jerks who contradict one another (as you can tell, I've contacted Tech Support quite a bit). br>A utility called P (something) Editor is included in the installation, and it's supposed to help you set your Label sizes. Most of the time, this editor sets label sizes that are incompatible with the printer and CANNOT be changed! In fact, the Editor has a drop-down menu of label sizes that, when selected, have no effect on the settings. One of Brother's label sizes does not even appear in the drop-down menu. br>However, once it does, it is fantastic. The most recent one I purchased STILL DOESN'T WORK because the label size (which Brother sells) can't be changed.
It's just a shame. Installing, using, and everything else is a hassle. Peeling off the label is a nightmare. Consider the person who came up with the idea of never peeling even a single time. The app for "creating" labels is horribly designed and difficult to use. If you exit the template screen, it will not appear again unless you exit and return to the app. There was no help at all. I received an email with responses such as "go to the website," "click on the FAQ link," and so on. The labels are called DK "X," and there are about 18 different options to choose from, making it difficult to locate, insert, and so on. It only came with two samples, so you'll have to guess the sizes. Sum up: Returning the next day, you'll find something more akin to the year 2000.
The wireless service is excellent. The setup was a little strange at first, but it all came together in the end. The printing on the demo labels isn't as dark as it could be. The software is a bit of a waste of time. I'm not sure why having a separate address book within the app, or even linking with your address book, should be considered a cluster. Hmmmmm. Perhaps it would be ideal for an eBay seller or a third-party app that designs labels and inserts addresses. Perhaps if I spend more time watching videos, but the amount of work required to create the label eventually outweighs the benefit of convenience.
This has been bothering me for a long time. I wanted a nice wireless printer to print my occasional labels without having to set up my regular printer every time, and this thing is exactly what I needed when it works. I open the app, create a label, and print the one or two I require. br>br>The issue is that I get a communication error about half of the time. I called tech support, waited a long time for them, and they showed me how to set up the driver in a more efficient manner. That was fine; it worked perfectly the next day. br>br>In fact, about half of the time I've needed it, it's worked. Every now and then, I'd get the dreaded communication error. I'd print a bunch of labels and then the printer would stop working. br>br>I'm trying to reinstall the driver on my mac today, and it won't connect; I'm sure it will eventually, but for $450 or so, I'm expecting fewer issues. This was purchased to alleviate a bothersome situation. I'm still dealing with a major stumbling block. br>br>3/1/2021 Update: Even after power outages, moving locations, and adding additional computers to print from, I haven't had any problems with connectivity in a long time. Because whatever the bug was appears to have vanished, I'm raising my rating from two to four stars.
A reviewer stated that they use it to print address labels. It's important to note that this is not the same as a postal label, which is what I bought. This isn't the wireless printer I was looking for to print 4x6 shipping labels on. It has a 2, in my opinion. 5 inches wide I was extremely disappointed because I had to wait an extra day because Amazon misplaced my order, and it now won't even work for what I require.
