Questions & Answers

Is it possible to print FedEx shipping labels using this software?

It is not compatible with Fedex. However, Brother does make printers that can be used for this purpose, known as the QL-series. 1050N, 1060N, 1070N, 1080N, 1080N, 10 Eltron / Zebra printers are also supported by Fedex Ship Manager software.

Is it possible to print prescription labels with it? If that's the case, could you send me a link to the labels that are compatible with it?

Yes, but.... If you can find someone who can make labels for this printer, the printer would print them (direct thermal). However, everyone appears to be using Cognitive label printers as far as I can tell. So No. The Brother TD-1000 is a high-performance printer. For printing prescription labels, use the year 2000 (search for prescription labels brother on Google).

What is the maximum receipt size that this printer can print?

The print head has a 2-inch width. 75 inches in length The image is printed on thermal paper by the printer. It is only for printing labels that I use it for. There are various sizes of labels and thermal paper. When you change the size of your labels, the printer notices the difference on your screen.

All of the labels resemble name tags in size. What size labels do you have, and are they suitable for USPS packages and/or boxes?

The QL-100 is the most significant label. A 2 will be used by 820NWB. Label is 4 inches wide.

Check-in is a breeze
5/5

in Name Tags and Stations! For our church's check-in, it's ideal. iPads are used at stations. They're simple to put together and perform admirably. The printing isn't as bold as it is on a Dymo printer. br>DO NOT USE THE SAMPLE LABELS ON ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE THE LABEL FROM, AS THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE. Use the following labels for your name tags:  .

The printer is excellent, but the software is inadequate
4/5

We have eight of these printers in use (QL-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Product labels and shipping labels can be printed with the 720NW printer. Both Windows XP and Windows 7 are compatible with the printers. However, there are a few points to keep in mind. br>br>1) if you print to a printer that has the incorrect label setup (printer has 1. You've got 1" labels on your printer, and you're going to print a 3. The printer is turned off (red power led) when a 5" label is applied. So keep an eye on your printer settings; all you have to do to reset it is press the power button. Keep in mind that the printer already knows what label size you've chosen. 2) printing barcodes at 300dpi (fast mode) can result in barcodes that "less expensive" readers will not be able to read. If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be. At 600 dpi, a name brand barcode reader is printed. Metrologic MS1690s are used, and they are capable of reading anything. Some of the less expensive "off shore" versions, on the other hand, are unable to handle a "noisy" barcode. br>br>3) double-check that the printer's firmware is up to date. Some older firmware versions had issues with gigabit networks. The BRAdmin program makes updating a breeze. br>br>4) Download and install Brother BRAdmin Professional (free from the Brother website). It's more user-friendly than the printer's "Lite" version, and it works with all Brother networkable printers as well as some HP printers. To get started, you only need to install the BRAdmin software on one computer. The printer driver is all that is required for the rest of the machines. 5) Do not install the Brother "add-on" software; it is a nightmare. Remove the CD from the player and throw it away. The printer driver can be downloaded from the website and installed without difficulty. br>br>It took some time for me to figure out how to get these to work the way we wanted, but they now just work. Labels are simple to load, printers are affordable in comparison to others, and having the option of hardwired ethernet, wireless, Serial, or USB connectivity is fantastic. The only issue I have with these printers is that they do not have a Receipt paper option. Aside from that, I have no complaints.

After attempting to obtain this item for the better part of the day
3/5

After attempting to get this thing to work for the better part of the day, I've given up and it'll be returned. Background information: My printer is a Brother QL-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX I had a 570 printer in mind, but I wanted something wireless that I could use in the warehouse. DK- has been my go-to for a while now. This printer is supposed to work with 2205 labels. They function perfectly in the QL- 570 Anyway, I kept getting a "Wrong Roll Size" error after setting everything up and changing the settings in Windows to match the label roll I was using. I contacted Brother tech support, who instructed me to create a layout in their P Touch program, which I was eventually able to use, but it didn't solve the problem - In any other Windows program, the printer does not function properly. Then, when you get the wrong roll size error, Windows thinks the printer is out of paper, so you have to uninstall and reinstall it every time. It's extremely inconvenient, and Brother's tech support is useless. Other programs would not be supported, I was told. That's a lame excuse. It's a PRINTER, and it's supposed to work according to the settings in Windows. Who buys a printer just to use it with the manufacturer's software? I'd love to be able to use this printer for what it was designed for, but it simply does not work.

This is an inflexible jerk
3/5

The printer detects the type of label that has been loaded. The printer will lock up if you try to print on a different paper size. So, if the printer is aware of the following: 1. 1x3. You have a stack of 5" labels loaded and are attempting to print at a scale of one. 1x3. If you enter "0," you will receive an error message, and you will need to physically go over to the printer and reset it. So, if you were under the impression that you had purchased a perpetual-motion machine, you were mistaken. You're completely wrong if you think you'll be able to cut length labels to fit the paper size you choose. It's only the size that the printer chooses. Worse yet, my printer decided at one point to 1. 1x3. 5" had been loaded, and 2 had been loaded. 4" was in fact loaded. Nothing could be printed because it was simply impossible. As a result of the fact that I chose 2. It was thought to be 4 inch wide. The number 1 had been loaded. In addition to printing something 1. Because it was only 1" wide, it didn't work. The number 4" was inserted incorrectly. br>I was never able to print anything on 2 again after the initial setup. Labels are 4 inches wide. br>Moreover, half of the software is incompatible with the printer when it is connected to the network rather than via USB. Remember that this printer is advertised as a network printer?.

Setup and use are a breeze
5/5

The Brother QL-II is one of the machines that I own. 720NW decided to give the new QL-100 a try. 820NWB. I'm glad I took the opportunity. This new label printer is a huge improvement. It's simple to set up and operate. Connections to various devices are a breeze thanks to the on-screen LCD and menu system. Using bluetooth, I was able to connect my Android phone and iPad without any issues. br>br>After reading some of the previous comments, I was expecting some issues. I couldn't find anything at all. br>br>I also bought the extra battery, which makes labeling boxes in the basement much easier.
