Not sure where you ordered this from Partners Brand, but I did order the 12x10x4 and these measurements are the actual INSIDE dimensions. Haiti, I ordered this size from Partners Brand, but this one was not ordered from them.

I just ordered 50 of these boxes because they are the right size for the existing fixtures I need to store. Because the shelves are 28 1/4" wide, ordering 14" boxes would have been ideal to put 2 of these boxes side by side, with a small amount of space between the boxes to slide in and out. The problem is that this is not true. The boxes were not fitting properly after I spent hours trying to get them to fit. I decided to measure them because I knew I had already accounted for all potential issues prior to ordering. However, there was definitely a problem. It was true that something was wrong. Actually, there are 14 boxes in this set. A 5"x14" sheet. A 5"x6" sheet. A 75" width. A major disappointment has occurred to me. The moment I ordered these boxes, I immediately began making changes to my inventory system and worked round the clock for 3 days to prepare for an easy transition and insertion of these boxes. Due to the fact that I already put two boxes together, I don't even know if they are returnable. The thought of it makes me angry and upset right now, I don't even want to think about it. It's been so frustrating that you guys couldn't even describe your products accurately when I spent so much time and energy researching them.
I found the boxes to be of average durability, and neither had any problems with them. If that were all they did, I would have definitely given them a five-star rating. The problem is. Labeled 5" x 10" x 15", they are advertised as such. According to my measurements, I bought enough cardboard to go across the space and was thought I had room to spare for the thickness of the cardboard. I do. I was wrong. Unfortunately, there is not enough space for me to include a full 1/2" of extra space on each box. What I had intended to store and the amount I need to store are both affected by this. These are sold and labeled as 5 x 7 boxes. However, they are not the size of those boxes. You'll be able to use these boxes if you use 5 1/2" boxes. This is not the box for you if you can't read the instructions.
The product was designed to replace Uline 200# boxes, which UPS offers as the minimum strength According to this site, the boxes aren't 200#, but 32ect, less than one third of an actual 200# test box in strength. These are only used for internal boxes, so we cannot use them as external boxes. Therefore, Uline is a superior value and an affordable choice since it is 50% stronger for just a few cents more than the competition.
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Uline (we use a lot of boxes in our packing department). The boxes don't claim to be 200# test but I bought them for a test since the description states they are 200# test. I put a Uline box of a similar size that does mention 200# test next to one of these and there is a noticeable difference. This box is flimsy compared to the other two.
Large plates and platters can be shipped with these boxes efficiently since they have a 6 inch height that allows space for the plates or platters and bubble wrap surround them. There is a 13 ounce weight difference between them. The boxes I use for shipping fragile items feel sturdy to me. We paid a little over $1 each for these, which we thought was a great price.

I used to get them from a box supply company but paid a fortune in I am saving a lot of money with Amazon Prime. While the box is not as good as the one above, it's good enough for shipping up to 5 books which weigh 2 pounds. Each pound weighs seven pounds.
