Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use diesel fuel with this five gallon container?

However, storage for a long period of time would be more appropriate. When diesel fuel dissolves zinc and clogs fuel injectors, it will clog galvanized metal.

Do you think the 1" nozzle is too large to directly dispense gasoline into an automobile?Or is it only sized to fit into diesel cars and trucks with larger openings?

My gasoline users have red containers with 1" nozzles, along with the red containers. In addition to working great with my gasoline-powered vehicles, they have also been helpful with my lawn mower.

Would kerosene work ok in this case?

The blue can of kerosene contains kerosene

Do the spigots of this can vent through the spout like those on the newer models?

When you pull the handle on the valve handle, the vent between the handle and one side of the fill cap is opened, and fuel flows into it. The three I have had for the past two years have all been trouble-free. They certainly beat plastic cans by a long shot.

Your diesel engine needs fuel to run! Ensure that it can run on the fuel stored in this container
3/5

It is built to a high standard. This software does not work for the purpose it was intended for. With my new John Deere diesel 2038R, it's specifically urged that I keep away from galvanized gas cans in the owners manual. You can see a picture of the area highlighted in the owners manual below. The can is really nice, but it was too bad for me. I've now got to purchase a plastic can or run the risk of.

It is of excellent quality and does its job well
5/5

Reading some of the negative reviews, I was disappointed. As long as you do not suffer from thumb tendon snivel or can load a 30 round AR magazine without shooting yourself, this diesel can should be a great option. It's easy to fill, it's easy to The container stays intact during transport, and it does not leak or emit any odors. After washing, rinse. It is repeated). This bottle only has one negative feature, the round shape and the fixed nozzle. There is more space required for it than a 5 gal jerry can, however there is less leakage. As a rule of thumb, if you struggle with handling this item, you should not be allowed near any fluid, even one that is minimally volatile like Your own good will be served by this. Let's not talk vulgarly about petrochemicals. (OK, clear your mind). All of the vehicles that I've put it in were able to accommodate it.

This is not the best place to store diesel fuel
3/5

It is likely that the zinc will react with the sulfur and leave behind a residue that clogs the There is no mention of this in the product details, but it was The product was returned before it was used and a refund was A jerry can from Wavian was best priced out of Amazon, but not through this website.

What makes these products so difficult to find at stores? Safety cans of type 2 are worth the extra cost over type 1 cans
5/5

When pouring, the flexible hose is so much easier to use, so you do not get things all over myself. In terms of emptying time, it was almost the same as the type 1 can, and breathing was fine when held at an odd angle to dispensing. People probably do not want to spend the extra money on something that is well-made. Only drawback I see is the hose would probably get in the way when I put it in my truck, whereas with a type 1 can, you can remove the funnel, but to me this is worth it since it will save me from having to clean the funnel whenever My type 1 can is still in my possession, but my plastic cans have been thrown away.

Once you buy it, you are good to go Having bought Justrite twice, this is my second It is a two gallon gas can that I bought for chainsaw premix last year, and I was pleased that it does not leak and is easy to start and stop the flow, so refueling is simple and spill-free
5/5

To refuel my heavy equipment in remote areas, I bought two 5 gallon cans of diesel fuel. They work as designed, just like the gas can. With leaking plastic cans in my garbage, I made a vow to spend a bit more and do it right the first time. While I have used the NATO style "jerry" cans from one of the better manufacturers, they work too, but for these applications (where mounting to vehicles is not necessary), I find the Justrite to be just as good. It is also much cheaper for similar There is only one thing to be aware of, which is that the cap has a strong spring. While that may seem appealing, it can also be a bit of a pain. As a result, it keeps the filling process secure and leak-free while requiring both hands to operate. Buying this fuel can again would be a good idea and if I ever need another fuel can, I will get a Justrite one.

The cans are excellent
4/5

For this one, it was necessary to clean it My life will never be the same with a plastic fuel can. Fuel is easy to fill and dispense. You will no longer have leaky spouts and fuel dripping everywhere. A better quality control inspection of the seller would be useful, since I had to remove corrosion from the flange before placing the gasket and fitting the Other than that, this is an excellent.

It has a spring loaded cap that is powerful and has a sealed gasket
5/5

The plastic fuel cans I had in my garage were on shelves. In response to my wife's concern about possible fire hazards, I got rid of those plastic fuel containers and bought two 5 gallon diesel cans and a 2 gallon can of gasoline instead. The gas I use in my power washer is a 5 gal can. There is a Level 1 and a Level II safety fuel can made by Justrite. No leakage will occur regardless of the fact that it is accidentally tipped over or if fumes are released from it. As it is spring loaded with super seal gasket, the nozzle is designed to allow any liquid residue to return to the can after use and once the flow handle has been released, the flow valve shuts off preventing any leakage, fumes, or spills from happening. Galvanized steel is used in the construction of the cans.

The seals on these are excellent and resistant to leaks
5/5

A dent appeared at the bottom of the package despite the fact that the rest of the package was unblemished. My guess is that it was damaged at the time of shipment. It seems to work well other than that, however I have found the handle to open the valve to be more difficult to open than I expected. buy another dollar worth of those cheap plastic cans that require you to press the nozzle up against the tank opening to start the flow of fuel. I want to point out that after using the program for a couple of days, I like it even more than the 4 stars I originally gave it and I have now rated it as a 5! The one disadvantage you have to refuel your tractor from the front end loader is that you have to climb up and over it, making it an extremely hazardous position. When I place this can over the edge of the hood, I can use the nozzle to pour fuel without spilling a drop. If I can form the nozzle to fit into my stock fuel tank, I'm good to go. In spite of being turned upside down, the can holds the fuel well and does not leak. It only takes a tug to start the fuel, and if I or the can slips, it is easy to release the handle, and even if I drop it all the way to the ground, there will not be any spills. The purchase price was well worth it!.
