Questions & Answers
Yes, it has received FM approval.
The cabinet is solid and heavy, and there are no holes in it. It's also double-walled, so it might be difficult to wall mount.
No, we're not talking about 5-gallon buckets. Although 5 gallons would suffice, you'd only be able to fit 3 in. It's possible there are four, with one on its side on top of the others.

The free shipping was nice, but the item was not strapped down when it arrived on a pallet, and it nearly toppled when we removed it with our forklift. I noticed a gash in the box (which was nothing more than a corrugated cover slid over the top). The cabinet had a significant gouge on the side, which was most likely caused by it toppling over during shipping. I didn't make a big deal about it because all it needed to do was work, not look nice. br>I would have liked another shelf inside because I use it to store spray cans, but I was aware that it only came with one. For it, I created a second one. br>br>Quality cabinet; however, I believe shipping should have been handled with more care.
This fire cabinet, as well as my tool cart from the same manufacturer, have exceeded my expectations. Exceptionally good. My 2 1/2 gallon gas can and my 1 gallon 2 stroke gas can are both on one shelf in the 16 gallon cabinet, giving me plenty of room. The shelf is heavy gauge steel, not wimpy, and there is room below for a 5 gallon can, which I'll update with photos once it arrives. By the way, the gas cans are also of excellent quality, as evidenced by my other reviews.
I have a 12 gallon model that arrived in perfect condition and performs admirably. This one arrived damaged, as has been reported in other reviews. There is some paint missing in two corners. I was able to fix the paint with rustoleum gloss sunburst yellow, which was a near-perfect match, thanks to Amazon's generosity in refunding a portion of the cost. Everything still works, but unlike my 12g from them, I had to bend some pieces to get the shelf in.
This cabinet appeals to me on all levels. It's a sturdy container that's simple to open and close. The fumes were non-existent once the gasoline cans were placed inside and the doors were closed. existent. For the money, this is a good product.
This cabinet is perfect for my garage because it is sturdy and has plenty of storage space.
It would be nice if there were two shelves inside instead of just one.
It is, in fact, a very nice cabinet. I keep volatile chemicals in mine at home. br>br>The power coating is excellent, and the construction is fairly solid. br>br>Because the door is equipped with both a key lock and a pad lock, you can restrict access to two people. br>br>The shelf that comes with the unit is fairly sturdy and appears to be capable of supporting a reasonable amount of weight. br>br>Overall, I think it's a good deal when compared to other options.
Great. Excellent value for money.
