Questions & Answers

Do I have the option of free diving in spring in a state park with this?

Was spring Skate Park in Houston what you meant? As for attachment by rope, it can be available to be purchased or can be attached with the optional holder. I do not recommend free diving above 100m for freedivers. Once the end pops off under pressure, it will eventually split in half.

A TSA-certified airline The Carry-Along has been approved My search of the TSA's website for "glow stick" says it is okay, but I'm not sure if there is a difference between "chemical light sticks" and glow sticks. ?

Snaplights from Cyalume are ok, even though they use the term glow stick to make their product look like Make sure to keep them in their bags! If they're not in their bags, they won't

Can Chemical Light Sticks be stored for a long time?

I have a set of cards that are over 9 years old and are still usable. Despite 8 hours, the light of a recently mounted one is still glowing.

Do they have the potential for reusing?

Neither chemical lighted sticks or plastic light sticks can be reused.

Perhaps there are better ones to choose from
3/5

In July 2014, I purchased a box of these. The Light Sticks have a May 2019 expiration date at the time of this writing, in November 2017. As a test, I turned on each of the 10 today (25 Nov 2017). After one hour, they were only a fourth as bright as when they were first turned on. After six hours, it takes each of them to squeeze one inch forward in order to read the text one inch away from Note that these come with an 8- rating Stickers that light up for an hour As a matter of fact, they are only about 1 in 10 Light Sticks with an hourly timer. They have been stored at 78 degrees F in my house ever since I got them, so high temperatures have not caused damage. Light can be provided by them if necessary, but not for a very long time. It's just that they don't live up to the hype. It would be a waste of money if I bought.

The difference between industrial and military grade
5/5

It's a simple matter of working. During the war, military personnel relied heavily on them. As an addition to your purchase consideration, here is one last thing I wish to bring to your attention In chemical terms, the "Industrial" Grade Chemical Light Sticks are very similar to the "Military Grade". However, the industrial grade sticks have a longer shelf life A military-grade light is formulated for the Department of Defense, and as such cannot benefit from new If you are buying "Military Grade" lights because you believe they are better in some way, you are wrong. The brightest of both is the same. According to the manufacturer, the military versions have one year less shelf life than the industrial series (4 years versus 5 years). It is higher because of the custom (older) formulation that is specified by the DoD. This information comes from the following sources A company called Cyalume. So unless you are required to buy an NSN product, do yourself a favor and pay less for a longer shelf-life. This will be helpful in your life and in getting the industrial version of this product.

I find it useful, but it's not that impressive
4/5

There is nothing wrong with you, just not A white 8 hour clock is shown next to a green 12 hour clock and a candle next to it. In comparison with the white one, the green one was twice as useful. While I was in the military, the white and green snap lights were exactly what I used. If I had to buy it again, I would choose green. The white ones I did not buy will probably not be purchased Expires on February 24. I received a lot that was expiration date Neither of them subsided until I went to sleep in the evening. Using the white one is of some use, but not a lot. An night time marking, like tent guy lines or even a gopher hole, is an ancient tactic of marking dark places. I think it is too dim to be of much use I was the one in green.

I found it to be absolutely They are so bad that they are laughable
3/5

These are the ones I bought years ago, and they used to be decent, but I can't believe how dim they are now. Instead of spending so much money on these, you'd be better off getting them for a lower price in You will not be able to see anything well with these and there is not near enough light to work.

It should be bright enough to last and long lasting
5/5

My use of these flashlights took me into the dark of the night at an advanced firearms training event. These lights were used for marking the firing lines at different distances, and also for providing just enough illumination to look inside range bags and diagnose malfunctions without making you blind in the dark. Other glow sticks I've used didn't last as long as these, but these lasted as long as 8+ hours and still worked even after we were done. In addition to the red versions, the red versions were also used for similar purposes.

Uses both inside and outside of the home
5/5

We bought these for a pool party and they held a lot of fun in the pool and they could also be tossed around the yard. Everyone got involved in the fun. These were invaluable this past fall when we had a power outage, and they showed us the way up the dark stairs. A week later, our neighbor's dog got stuck under an abandoned foundation, and we didn't know what was keeping her until we threw her a stick, and then we noticed that her collar was caught on a hook, and so she had to be tied. This is one box I will purchase again, and I would recommend that anyone buy enough of these to use multiple times. You'll be surprised at what you need them for when you have.

The product is long lasting and has low night vision
3/5

This candle has a nice long life, lasting about 7 hours without Getting the white ones, I found that they are not that bright, they are more of an ambient light I was hoping for something that would help me at night, but it does not look like these are the ones for that purpose.

The results are OK, but not particularly impressive
3/5

The white 8-year-old is the subject of this experience Sticks of an hour do not qualify as "high intensity" There are also quick ones that can be found. During the checkout process, you are asked to provide your expiration date, which is five years from now. In the initial brightness, I would not call it "impressive" With the light meter in contact with the surface, I measured 120 Lux after 5 minutes, and 3 Lux at a distance of 1 Foot. The measurements were the same after an hour and after two hours. I measured less than 1 lux at 1 foot after three hours, indicating a significant reduction in light output. Although this is a very dim light, the truth is that humans are able to see quite well in this kind of My first investigation showed that the stick was bright enough in a small room to avoid stubbed toes, and I could read when I held it close to my face. With dimming, the picture was only good at close-up "Task lighting" is the most common type of In "cool white", there is a blue tint LED lights from the 1990s and early 2000s are bluer, though they are a lot less blue than those from the 2000s and earlier. In comparison to say , I feel like I could put up with this. This is the traditional yellow/green Cyalume stick. With a dimmed light, the blue hue becomes more apparent.
These flashlights have a decent shelf life, are remarkably durable, waterproof, lightweight, require no batteries, do not produce heat, and do not require batteries to operate. In the event that I am without electricity, I will still need a flashlight, lantern, etc. Although these sticks have their uses, they are not without their faults.
