BLACK SHELVES The black wire mesh shelves are significantly lighter than the chrome shelves, despite the fact that delivery was quick. They metal wire is far too flimsy for heavy boxes and easily bends! br>The "AD" should state that there is a distinction in the way they are built. That's a big lie! br>Instead, save your money and purchase the chrome storage shelf. Please take note of the following: You should first check to see if the material construction has been changed. If this is the case, do not waste your money.

Extremely durable. The unit is simple to put together. We purchased four of these to use in our garage to store items. We bought two more because we enjoyed them so much. We especially like that we can adjust the height of each shelf to accommodate a variety of different-sized boxes, tools, and other items; they're also very sturdy and attractive. The others were put together very quickly after we followed the instructions for the first one (which took us about 15 minutes). It's important to note that the round plastic pieces are only used for packaging and have no bearing on the assembly process. The casters were not used, but they are quite heavy duty if someone needs a shelf with casters. These shelves have exceeded our expectations in every way.

It's not too difficult to put together. I use to keep track of and organize my fabric and sewing supplies. The only drawback is that the instructions were clearly written by someone who does not speak English fluently.

The five-star reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. These shelves are NOT at all like the ones you'd find at Costco. They're flimsier and more easily bent. They are in no way heavy-duty - For example, there is no support for the center shelf; two of the shelves arrived bent like this (picture), and when I emailed the seller, I discovered they barely spoke English, so I simply hammered them out enough to use. If you're going to roll this thing around, the casters are just as cheaply made and won't last. br>br>Save yourself the aggravation and don't purchase these.

I've worked as a chef in the food industry for over 20 years and recently launched my own chocolate truffle line under a cottage food license from my home. I needed a shelf system similar to what I used in the food industry to keep those ingredients organized. That's EXACTLY what's going on here. The shelves are built in the same way and are just as sturdy. The black color is also a nice touch because it matches our kitchen set, which my wife likes. Shipping was supposed to take a week, but it only took two days! That's fantastic! I would strongly suggest it.
