I was able to get a hold of someone who was able to help me out I had my doubts, but she easily dragged a Model A chassis uphill into the garage
5/5

Slowly but steadily, with plenty of battery life remaining. So far, there has only been one application, but it has been extremely successful.

For the time being, it functions satisfactorily, but it is not significantly less expensive than the Warn winch
3/5

For the time being, this winch appears to be in good working order, but I'm not sure how long it will last, particularly in terms of the electronics. Given how close the asking price is to other name brand options like a Warn PulzAll, I'd probably go with the Warn. With a larger brand like Warn, you can expect better customer service, more parts availability, and easier access to items like spare/replacement batteries. ELECTRONICS: ELECTRONICS: ELECTRONICS: ELECTRONICS: ELECTRONICS: ELECTRONICS br>This is the area in which I am most concerned. I'd give the electronics a 5 out of 10 for quality. I've seen far worse products before, but I've also seen far better electronics from other well-known brands. Note that I have not personally disassembled a Warn winch, so I am assuming that, as a market leader in this segment, Warn maintains quality standards comparable to those of other market leaders (such as power tools, etc. ). br>br>During the disassembly process, I noticed a few things. None of the cables appear to be properly secured or routed, but I don't think this is particularly egregious because there is a lot of extra space inside the housing, so the cables aren't in danger of being pinched or shorting out. This could lead to solder joint fatigue in the long run, but it's unlikely in this tool. I can't examine the chips because the circuit board inside the tool is covered in an epoxy-like substance. The power transistors on the circuit board are heatsinked, but the heatsink is right next to the motor and lacks adequate air circulation - On a long run, I'd be concerned about overheating. Because the trigger is merely a momentary switch, adding a remote switch should be relatively simple. I noticed that the battery pack connector only has two wires coming out of it for power delivery. There is no thermal monitoring connection, indicating that the battery pack has an internal BMS (which I later confirmed). br>br>Next, I looked at the battery pack. The battery pack in most modern power tools tends to wear out before the rest of the tool, so it's a particularly important component; surprisingly, the battery does have an internal BMS system. There are benefits and drawbacks to this approach. There is a lot of debate on the internet about this, but I believe Milwaukee and Dewalt have external BMS systems (in the tool or charger), while Makita has an internal BMS (in the battery). I'm not sure how Warn approaches their product development. Because the circuit board in the battery isn't sealed and is exposed, I'm concerned about corrosion if you use/store it in humid environments. The transistors in the battery pack also do not receive any significant heatsinking. All of the cells were firmly secured in their positions. In relation to the cells, I attempted to obtain a model number from them. Because I didn't want to ruin the battery pack, I didn't rip apart the ultrasonic welds, so I couldn't fully disassemble the plastic carrier and could only get a partial model number. These appear to be DMEGC INR1850-DMEGC INR1850-DMEGC DMEGC INR1850-DMEGC INR1850-DMEGC INR185 20P cells are a type of cell. This appears to be a new battery manufacturer in China. I didn't do a lot of research on this company, so I'm not sure if they make their own batteries or just rebrand other companies' rejects. In any case, this company has a website, which is better than some of the crappy tools I've seen in the past; like the rest of the tool, it's not as reliable as a name brand cell, but it's probably better than some of the other really cheap competitors (keep in mind I don't have any objective evidence of quality - based solely on the reputation of the company). BR>BR>PHYSICAL CONSTRUCTION: BR>BR>PHYSICAL CONSTRUCTION: BR>BR>PHYSICAL CONSTRUCTION: br>I don't have many complaints about the tool's physical construction, but I admit that I'm not as knowledgeable in this area as I am in electronics. The tool's and battery's shells are unmistakably made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, which I believe to be nylon. This is exactly what I was looking for, and it's what the majority of high-quality power tools are made of. There is a rubber-like substance. I did not disassemble and examine the charger, so I cannot comment on its robustness. The hooks appear to be forged parts, and the main frame is 3mm thick stamped steel. The frame runs the length of the tool and is responsible for the pulling force. For 1,000 pound rated loads, I believe this will suffice. The clamshell's two halves fit together reasonably well. Although not as nice and tight as high-end powertools, it's more than adequate. Everything is held together by a slew of screws, and I appreciate that they are all standard philips screws - There aren't any special security fasteners in this location! Please note that I did not disassemble the motor or gear assembly, so I cannot vouch for the stator, windings, gears, or other components. br>br>OPERATION: br>The operation of this winch is very simple. The main power is turned on and off by a momentary switch. Given that this is a momentary switch, I'm concerned that when it's turned off, there could be a significant vampire power draw - I'd keep it disconnected from the battery just to be safe (Lithium batteries don't like being overcharged, though this shouldn't happen if the BMS is working properly). You then select which direction you want to pull in or let out rope by pressing another momentary switch button on the front of the winch. The motor is then activated after the trigger is pressed. You can free yourself by disengaging the clutch. spool the rope out quickly, but there is no faster gear ratio for pulling the rope back in - There is only one (slow) speed. Given how slow it is to re-spool the rope, I would advise all users to only spool out the length they require! BR>BR>VALUE: BR>BR>VALUE: VALUE: VALUE: VALUE: VALUE br>Aside from the electronics' long-term viability, this is the area that concerns me the most. This isn't a low-cost instrument. This tool is over $100 cheaper than the other low-cost Chinese competitors. I haven't tried the other tools yet, so I can't say whether this is better or worse. However, the big-name brand competitor (from Warn) isn't much more expensive (or even the same as this tool if you can get a good deal). If Warn meets the same quality standards as Milwaukee, Dewalt, and others (the equivalent echelon of power tools with which I am more familiar), I would choose a Warn winch over this SuperHandy tool. If this winch were significantly less expensive, it would be an excellent value, but at the current price, I can't recommend it over the name-brand option. a battle of brands.

I'm just not a fan of it (yet)
4/5

It's clumsy and can't be mounted. It also doesn't come with a remote control. I can use it to lift an engine out of a vehicle because it claims to have the power to do so; you can turn a dial and quickly pull the cable out, but it's only one way. I had to hold the power button down until it was fully retracted in order to get it back in. Slow and steady wins the race. I'll have to use it more to get a better sense of its capabilities, but I'm not impressed so far. For the same amount of money, you can get a decent warn winch with a lot more accessories and pulling power. However, because it is battery-powered and can be used outside of the vehicle and virtually anywhere, it has some utility. It's not too loud, and it performed admirably under load. There was no change in tone or speed, and both ends' hooks were rated for this hoist/winch. There was a missed opportunity to have a USB port on the battery for emergencies, as it could have easily charged a phone or two multiple times. I'm going to use it for about two to four weeks and put it through its paces by giving it a workout on multiple occasions. I'm interested in seeing how well the battery lasts and how long it lasts, as well as how well the cable lasts. In a few weeks, I'll post some action shots and learn more about the machine's capabilities. Four out of five stars!.

This winch/pulling tool is a good tool, and I recommend it
5/5

First and foremost, this winch'sbr>Battery came fully charged 48vt battery 2ahbr>Seems a little small, so if I can find one, I'll purchase a 4 to 6Ah battery. Other than the amp hours of battery, I'm concerned about a few things after running the winch for over an hour. br>1. Being the back hook, you will need to attach it to something in order to use it. The lift pull is a bit too short; it should be at least 6-inches longer. 10 inches longer, but this is a simple fix on your end. br>2. Although the winch cable's rope is quite strong, it can fray over time with use. br>3 IT's NOT REMOTE CONTROL There is no remote control hand held control unit with this winch. It only has a push button on the handle and a small push button to control the winch letting the rope in and out of unit. br>4 IT'S HEAVY to lug this unit around from a tool box on truck to whatever you attend to winch up especially if you have to carry it a hundred yards if you are stuck in a mud hole or ditch. br> br>5 The winch rope is only 20 feet long. Given the size of this unit, you'd think it would come with at least a 50 foot rope like other Name Brand winches. br>6 This is a major issue. The winch is not remote controlled, but the instructions say you can use it as a lifting winch to lift overhead off the ground. br>However, because you must control the winch with the unit's button, you will be extremely close to the objects you are lifting, putting yourself in danger. br>Ok, now for the pros of this unit!
1. It's portablebr>2 comes with a battery chargerbr>3 and isn't overpriced when compared to other name brand portable winchesbr>4. As I previously stated. I ran this winch for over an hour with no problems. br>5 it's a great spare winch to have in your truck when you need the extra winching power. br>6 the battery has a charge indicator on it so you can put the button to see if you need to charge it or not. br>7 it has a manual lock on the winch for letting the rope out in a safe manner. br>Overall, I think this winch is great for when your boat winch fails on the trail or you need a shop winch to move or lift heavy objects around. br>br>IF YOU BUY THIS WINCH, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRSTHAND TO KNOW HOW TO USE THIS WINCH/PULLING TOOL PROPERLY. COMMON SENSE CAN GET YOU A LONG WAY! br>God bless you and keep you safe.
