Make spring last as long as possible It is greased to keep the loaded retainer in place

The original winch handle fell off during a trip to the boat ramp, so this is perfect to replace it. The truck will be kept in the garage for the time being, but we will mount the boat only once it is needed to be retrieved. This may be why the original handle fell off because the spring loaded clip that holds it in place corroded and stuck over time.

A replacement is needed, since it can fall off and become lost! Don't leave it on the winch as it can fall off and become lost!.

This OEM winch handle replaces the one that was lost. Whenever the winch is not in use, it is highly recommended that you remove the chain as it is fairly easy.
