This is actually a well made product. However, if you intend to use it for a zip line you will need to have guide loops around the loops that keep the cable They use loop ends that are too wide since the buckle turn does not fit well. Above you can see a picture of the old sling cable without guide loops and a picture of the new cable equipped Although I am not an engineer, I spoke to a number of friends who are and they all shared my concern that the angles and lines of pull could stress the metal of the turnbuckle and potentially cause it to be ripped or broken. It was hard for me to decide to remove the guide loops, so I decided to remove them. This can very well fray some of the wire strands causing the cable to fail. As far as the turnbuckles I have seen in zip line packages go, they all use a similar gauge wire and a As a result, the turnbuckle opening is just half an inch wide. Even though each of the two looped ends is 3/16 and can fit the turnbuckle correctly without the guide loops attached, they will not with the loops. Moreover, this product seems extremely well made and should work well in other applications, but if you are planning on using it as a zip line, you may run into issues.
What it says it will do is exactly what it does. An example of use is a zipline around a very tall But make sure to protect the tree as well.
I required this sling in order to go around a big tree in my back yard with a zipline.
I am impressed with the strength of the wire eyes and wire. Purchasing this product again would be a good choice.
If you are putting a turnbuckle on a zipline, it is the perfect size.
Line with a zip code.
