Questions & Answers

Could you tell me if the strap around the barrel needs to go under the first rib, OR if it will hold it snug and close enough to leave it near the top of the ?

You can do it under the ribs or under the lip if you crank it tight. Moving and loading various barrels requires me to use it several times per week now.

It is compatible with 55 gallon plastic drums, correct?

Having not tried it on a poly drum, I can't speak for it. It would be hard to lift a polymer 55 gallon container by myself. I would be willing to give it a careful try on the first lift since we already have a sling. Unfortunately, the sling may ride over the rim of the drum because of the way it is configured. There's no way through that feature I know of.
