How do you calculate the capacity of a lift if I have two on either side of a beam?

You need to subtract a small amount depending on the angle of the strap, but the majority of the time you do. If the lifting angle is close to horizontal, you can lift less. A 30* angle would require 2 straps, as shown in the illustration Each strap has a capacity of 1.

Is there any type of certification test included with this item? Or is there any testing paperwork to be filed in its ?

You should use a non stretch sling so that you don't have to lift the item any more than necessary

The second one I bought was in black It's a sling. Each tile is 2" x 8ft. With my forklift or loader on my tractor, I can use these to lift heavy items. The program works well. The flesh is not stretched. The perfect translation.
