0 is the number 0 Material for the 001" shim stock is quite flexible, so much so that it may not be able to be used as a mold for clay. A sheet of aluminum is much less supportive than aluminum baking foil, and it is much more bendable than a thinner sheet of metal that can hold a curve. Aluminum foil seems to be a better choice than stainless steel zero to me. To make a mold, a shim stock .001" in thickness is needed.
This is all I have left of mine.
There is no plastic in it. It is metal

My AR build would be incomplete without this kit.
The sheet was about $10 per sheet. I was charged a comparable price as I had in the past for similar stainless steel shim stock. It was exactly what I needed for the job at hand. My only complaint is that the ad stated I would get four sheets of shim stock, while I actually only got two.
A Thompson Center Encore ProHunter had headspace issues, so I used this to fix it.
The bedding did a fantastic job of bedding my upper back.
The product is excellent and I would purchase it This shamme fits an AR 15 barrel nicely.
In a cardboard sleeve, it was packaged flat. Due to the thin nature of the shim, there are a few wrinkles, but they aren't an issue for my purposes. You have a good point there.
Used as a shim, it was perfect.
