The straps were indispensable in enabling us to move heavy items, such as appliances, without damage to either the item being moved or to the floors - and we were able to do that without damaging either. We can solve the problem ourselves, without external assistance! These straps create leverage to help balance the weight, and because we have the straps over our shoulders instead of our backs, we have been able to lift using our leg muscles as opposed to our backs.
