GRADE 80 CHAIN - Designed to provide higher working loads and ease of use - Grade 80 chains both weigh the same and provide a higher working load. THE HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION - The heat treated Grade 80 chain and hooks are intended to last for long periods of time in the field. They include a heat-treated load pin with a retaining cotter pin, so they stay attached to the ends of your chain but may also be removed as necessary. Detailed throats of the grab hooks are universally sized so that they easily interact with chains up to 1/2 inch in diameter.
RATTED WITH SAFETY IN MIND - This heavy duty chain has a 12,000 lb. weight capacity. This device is meant to be used with a load binder that has a load rating at least as high as the Safety Working Load. Based on a 41 safety factor, the rating has been assigned to this product. We always rate our chains correctly with a 41 safety factor, as recommended by the NACM. It is important to note that some suppliers on the market do not rate their chains at a full 41 safety factor, which is not safe and can lead users astray.
WORKING LOAD - 12,000 lbs is the maximum load that is safe to work with. Is this waterproof and resistant to rusting so it can be used outside?
When the chain is manufactured, the factory coating is applied, but as the chain is used, the factory protection gradually wears away and rust begins to develop. There is no danger in using the chain with surface rust - it is cosmetic and will not affect its performance Rusting on the surface of the metal will not affect the SWL (safe working load).
Is it possible to use it for towing and recovery?

It was evident that the quality and construction were of high standards. It is without a doubt the only brand from which I will purchase my chains. I would not consider buying a cheaper chain to break and then come back to buy this one. It is a bit more expensive than other chains available in the market, but I would not risk buying one that is cheaper to break and then have to buy this one.
