The bar is 5/16" (8mm) thick, with a max opening width of 3/5 (17mm). The working load limit is an impressive 530kg / 1168lb the breaking load is 2200kg / 4850lb.

This is a high quality product made of stainless steel 304 which is moisture resistant, acid and alkali resistant, anti-rust, glossy and bright in color, non toxic and harmless to the environment. Designed solidly, able to withstand abrasion, with a strong load bearing capacity.

It is a simple device, yet it beats the majority of modern devices The shackles work perfectly, are easy to operate, and are finished in a smooth way. I would put this up against a lot of junk I've seen lately where the metals must be forged in the back hills of the moon with wet sand and poor quality metals.

My anchor chain is strung with these, and their anchor lines are strung with these. I used some blue thread locker to keep everything in place, and I used the best quality thread. These will prove to be a valuable asset for me. The set I purchased is excellent and I am buying another one.

Use in conjunction with an eye bolt set in concrete for tie downs. The ratchet strap attachment points are wide enough for the strap to be attached without being too tight.
