Questions & Answers

It would be fine if I used a hoist on each of the ends of my 60-foot ladder How much weight does it take to paddle a A 250-pound bottle seems to be more durable to me It is rated at lb. ?

Generally you don't want to hang a kayak from its ends, no matter how long it is. When you store your kayak, you could warp or damage it according to the level of fluctuation in temperature. If you want to hang it, try putting slings about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way in from the ends. In this way, all the forces are better distributed, and the material is less likely to be stressed. If you can attach it to it with the hoists as described above, it will be more than sufficient to lift it into storage position and hold it there until it's needed again. As a second recommendation, I would suggest installing a cockpit cover while storing your plane to make sure that spiders, bugs, and other debris do not settle in the cockpit.

Is it possible to lift a riding mower with this device?

There is a 250 lb weight limit on this device. There is a maximum load limit which should not be exceeded for safety reasons, and has a 2-hour warning The following lifting ratios are used A single rope would lift 125 lbs at a maximum load limit of 250 lbs, so you would need to pull it as hard as you could. As you probably know, even a small riding mower weighs in excess of 250 pounds if you lift its entire weight. This is why I do not recommend using it.

Do I need to purchase a particular type of 3/8" rope in order to extend the lift height to 11 feet? Please tell me how much rope you need. Are you talking about 33 feet?

It is a nylon rope with braided ends. To set up 11 feet using 33 feet of cable, you would need 33 feet.

I will be staying at a second floor apartment with outside stairs while away from home. Is it possible to lift suitcases and bags with this device?

A heavy duty hook emblazoned on the outside wall can be reached easily by a window that is within easy reach of the hook. There should be someplace on the wall where you can hang the hoist without it pulling the hook out of the studs.

This hoist is of high quality and is reasonably priced
4/5

the rope that comes with this hoist is about 10' too short to make it truly useful for a lot of tasks. In the case of a pick-up truck, the hook can be attached to the front Up truck 8' bed (that's almost 10' with the tailgate down, and another shorter rope length makes this product ineffective at best for pulling items into the bed, or up a ramp into the Using a 30' rope would give a full 10' of usefulness (instead of 6 2/3'. Adding this sort of added value would be something most customers would gladly pay for, even if it comes at a small price increase. To make this hoist fully functional, I will have to spend a lot more than what the price increase would be in order to change out the rope.

The product should not be used to lift heavy loads! The hoist will allow me to lift the broken door of my overhead storage box
4/5

There is no way this door would sustain 250 pounds of weight it weighs about 180 lbs. The first problem was that it was impossible to hold the rope firmly enough My weight behind the thick handle enabled me to push on the rope with my weight after I wrapped the rope around Initially, it took a few inches of rope to pull through the double metal sleeves, and then I lifted the door up about 3 feet. Although the ratchet held, it was not able to When it does not release, there is too much weight on it, according to the instructions! It took a strong neighbor to lift up on the door for me to be able to Even if I could lift that amount of weight (with one hand no less), I wouldn't need a hoist! I'd rate this 5 stars if the packaging weren't so fragile. Although the design itself is a genius and the construction is good, be prepared for it (and you) not to lift significantly more than 100 pounds. The one I had ended up returning.

Equipment can be stored off of the floor with this great system
5/5

Getting my bicycles, hand truck, and other equipment onto a ladder has been a standard part of my garage routine for many years. Those who have been on ladders for a long period of time have noticed that they aren't steady on them so they started looking for a pulley system to help them with this job. To hang the bicycles, I started with two of these and installed hooks to hang them It took me a few tries to find a good lift point, but I managed to do it. It is the perfect release for lowering the bike. Everything is out of my way, except the ropes that I hang from the handle bars. As a result, the only modification I needed to make was to extend the lift rope in order to make them high enough, yet after reading other reviews, I didn't expect that. I expect these to last a very long time because they are nicely made.

I am very satisfied with this product
5/5

In order to open my garage door in case of emergency, I recently purchased a Rope Ratchet that can be installed in minutes. In my system, I have designed a fully functional system. Besides requiring a hoist at the bench where I work, I also needed one for my equipment. There is a block and tackle hoist from Rope Ratchet that incorporates the same ratchet pulley along with another With this system you can exert twice the force and it can handle up to 250 pounds of weight. "Hang 'em High" Hoist gave me the convenience of no longer have to dead lift crib weights to my bench. After experiencing the quality and functionality of my first rope ratchet, I did not hesitate to purchase another.

This was used to haul furniture up to the roof by someone who is not an engineer
5/5

An A-plus! My order was for two of these to help me haul a giant wicker sun-shade It would take a lounge basket (human-sized) to reach my roof on the third floor. This setup helped me get the job done even though I had to use longer ropes. I don't know anything about engineering or mechanical advantage, but this setup worked well for me. Thanks! Hopefully I'll be able to use it again.

My favorite thing about this hoist is that it works great
5/5

My favorite part of this hoist is that it works amazing! When I put some eye lag bolts in the areas I needed to hoist at, this machine effortlessly lifted my tractor attachments from the ground to the top of This has been done manually by me with the assistance of another person on a ladder. I no longer have to have a back ache because I can do it all myself. My purchase will certainly not be one I will regret! When the load is up in the air, you release the release lever with the smaller rope attached to the release lever. This allows you to hoist the load with the thicker rope and then hoist it with the smaller rope.

My bike fits perfectly in the garage when hung up here
5/5

The cleverly designed hoist is just what I need to hang my road bike up in the garage so that it can be Lifting it up by hand and hanging it by its front tire on the ceiling, I hung it by its front tire. Back pain and fatigue are keeping me from doing what I want to do As a result, my back was put under a lot of stress. Since I use this hoist for lifting my road bike without risking back strain, I can use the same ceiling-mounted hook to raise my road bike as well. A notable feature of this product is that there is no crank arm required or rope anchor. The bike frame/forks were fitted with a sling so that attachment would be quick and easy.

Two more are on their way
5/5

The package arrived just a few hours ago, and this is one I'll be keeping With two hooks and 3/8" rope plus a narrower one for the release this hoist is made of steel and has two layers of rope. In order to install a ring or hook in the ceiling, all you have to do is to hang it there. I love how simple it is. For a grade of 80 or higher, I used it A punching bag weighing 115 pounds needs to be overly bounced so that it won't strip the screw threads from the ceiling. Just in case I need to hang another bag or a bicycle, I'm going to get two more. The number of good items that have disappeared from Amazon is too high. The better solution is to store them in storage rather than on your website or in your store.
