In short, yes. By pivoting two halves on a bottom bar, the two halves can be adjusted to fit various beam widths. An attachment for that bar can be a hook or a lifting strap.

It is possible to do that. Taking a swing would def definitely not be a problem with it since I use mine for TRX workout straps and it is way more robust than we need for that.
It may be possible to insert a hook at the bottom of the V clamp (for a chain fall device).

To hang gymnastics rings, I planned to use two of these. Their size is impressive, and they seem to be well-built The ladder is made of quality materials, and appears to be easy to use, which is nice if you're 20 feet up a ladder! I had to estimate the I-value, but I was not able to prepare a detailed report There was an issue with the beam size (compared to renting a ladder twice) and it was 10" wide, so a bit too wide for this model. *Amazon was very gracious to allow me to return the product, so if you have the right use for them, I highly recommend them.
