Questions & Answers
I had to drill holes in the track instead of drilling holes in the track itself. As there is a 3/4" clearance between the wall and the trolley, I used a 1"(OD) x 1/2" fender washer, a 1/2" lock washer, and a 1/2" nut to attach the track to the trolley. I'm threading. It barely clears the trolley when I have my setup mounted.
In this case, the prior answer is correct, but to ensure safety, you should install the second bolt past the first. It'll eventually break that first bolt, and nothing else will last As long as the trolley is unimpeded, nothing will stop it.
If you want to use this on a jib crane, you will have to build the crane jib yourself. While this is just the trolley that will move from side to side, the crane will need to be constructed from a much more durable material to withstand the weight this trolley can hold.
Five 3/8" holes were drilled into it and it was mounted directly to the ceiling with lag bolts ( oak 2x4's). One of these was used with a hospice patient I had in my home. I installed two of these. I used it with a 440lb electric hoist and it worked well.

As soon as the paint dried, the track was wrapped up! It looks really bad in the 3) wrapped areas. The wheelchair will go into my elder mother's bathroom to assist her with getting up from her Repainting it myself is the only option since I don't have time to wait for a replacement (that will most likely look exactly like mine). Having experience with ceiling hoists for disabled people, I know what I'm doing. Having said that, if you decide to purchase this set from Unibilt, keep in mind that it is heavy duty, and that it weighs 26 lbs with the trolley. Unless you know the fact that the Track Hanger Clamp 8672 has to be ordered from Unibilt and costs $40 per While it is true that one hanger has a maximum load capacity of 1000 lbs, the rail must be spread if it is hung from the ceiling. you will need 4 hangers with a total cost of $ 160 for 5 feet of rail. Here I am showing you how I hung the ceiling hoist from the attic, reinforced trusts, and distributed the load throughout. In the end, however, I recycled the kit as scrap and accepted the loss The same results were obtained with a light duty kit I found on Amazon, cheaper and easier to hang.
I need two for the hoist. This was part of my attic project.
Unit was well-built and the photo shows all the parts that were included. A beam and two trolleys were all it took to operate the unit. The unit is very well built and will last for a long time. It is made to take heavy loads and is very heavy duty. The hoist is easily moved with the beam and trolley. A heavy load is attached and the vehicle glides smoothly on its track. Two C clamps were all that I used as trolley stops on each end of the beam.
Thank you, I'm still trying to find the end caps for the track. Any further information you can provide would be great!.
Using this in my barn was the best solution for setting up a pulley.
It has been a while since I have seen a deal like this. We are dealing with heavy duty here.
