Questions & Answers
In his book, Ronhn recommends a maximum climber weight of 250 pounds
What you put on top of the tower depends on what you plan to put there. Perhaps it is not necessary to attach it to the house if it is a lightweight TV antenna. If you need Guy wires, you may need them. There is a possibility that the base section will need to be in concrete with a weight of 3000 pounds. Call Rohn and ask them for their recommendations for your particular application if you want to know for sure. As the climber is going up the tower, this is almost essential because if it's not done correctly, it's extremely hazardous. If you need further information, you can call Rohan again. If you don't use guy wires, they will tell you how much concrete you have to have at the base and how high you can go with that combination. There is also a page on their website that discusses questions regarding installation, so you might find the answer there.
Once the tower is installed, you'll be able to climb it.
The answer is yes, but additional guy wires may be needed
Selected User Reviews For Rohn 25 Series 40' Basic Tower (25G)
As a first-time online customer, I was a little nervous and partly expected to regret ordering a tower. Despite this, I was well satisfied to find all the holes lining up and everything straight and strong. I highly recommend this service.
Rohn 25 and 30' towers have been in my possession in the past. Initially, I was anxious about ordering a tower online for amateur radio use. However, every item pictured in the ad was received as stated. It was easy to locate the bolts in the tower leg sections as indicated on the website. Tracking data was provided and updates were uploaded into the system so I could track the progress of the shipment. Amazon provided a window for the tower to arrive in my city on the first day of the anticipated delivery window. Next day my house was delivered with the package. It appears the tower is a genuine Rohn tower as I weighed each section and the weight is what Rohn advertised. Despite my best efforts, I have not yet erected the tower. There is no doubt that everything should work out.
As an antenna and rotor, I'm only using it. It is accounted for each and every bolt and nut. It was just one section that refused to accept the bolts, so I had to VERY MINIMALLY ream them out a bit with a drill to make them work. I paired it with the Rohn bracket in figure 11- A foot that is 12 feet long. Assembling the first two sections, and having the remaining two done by a tree trimming company, with the antenna pre-mounted, was my responsibility As a mount. There is no such thing as a weak link The wheel doesn't wobble in any way.
I found it fairly easy to assemble. I found that the program worked well once it had been.
