In this case, I am running the output up about five feet before they exit the house at the same point where the AC outlets are located. Fortunately, this product is very quiet - I have not heard any operating sounds from it - it is fantastic! It could be caused by the A/C running at the same time. The following factors need to be taken into account when using this unit with a portable air conditioning unit For air conditioners that have condensation tanks at the bottom, either make a small platform to lift the unit up about 5 inches so that the water can drain into the Little Giant, or do what I did and raise the unit up several inches from the floor.
