Make sure the repairman doesn't It was twice the price at the box stores, so the price is perfect! On top of that, I got it the next day, rather than waiting two days. The delivery time for "store delivery" is 3 days. It can be done easily by anyone with basic repair knowledge! The replacement should only take a few minutes! In less than 20 minutes, a hacksaw, wire cutters, and the project was complete! Congratulations! It's done! I was told that the repairman wanted to charge me $250 for the same work! A/C parts kept leaking when I was using a portable unit in my apartment. After I bought the clamps and cables at Lowes, and it just plugs into the wall, it was very easy to setup. Additionally, you can use it in a bedroom since it is super quiet.
The water tank drains automatically when this unit is hooked up to our dehumidifier, so I don't have to continually empty the water tank. I will take that as a win. Fortunately, my husband installed it really quickly, and it's been working great since then.
This product did not last 5 months, it kept running and would not shut itself The switch is made from cheap material. The brand I ordered changed and I had to get another one.
