There is a big wood stove inserted inside my fireplace opening. It is difficult to pull out and make repairs since it is so heavy. As I read reviews referring to its getting hot, I put the blower on a bench for 30 minutes and let it run as it was designed to do. I can hold the motor tightly in my hand, but it does get warm. I would estimate it is around 150 degrees F. If that is accurate, it is not a problem. One motor is drawn. As soon as the motor is up to speed, 5 amps are consumed. An opening of 4 1/4" wide by 3 3/4" high is available at the discharge throat of the motor when the motor is horizontal. 4 7/8 inches wide by 4 3/8 inches high are the dimensions of the bolt holes. As far as I'm concerned, a gasket is not needed. Whenever I vary the speed of a motor, I have used a device that controls the motor (not a dimmer switch). It was not easy slowing the motor, but I will post more if it's not working.

Using this blower to draft or use it for a stove is a very good choice. It's for a coal forge that I bought it for. I don't think it will be able to do that, it will work, but not very efficiently. Lastly, as shown in the image, the blower ran for 20 minutes and then shut off for 5 minutes, and the motor was at 150F I have had many blowers and none have ever got as hot as that, and I use it five days a week. We spend eight hours a day at work. Again, if you're going to use it as a stove, it's decent. Not much more to say. However, it's cheap and you get what you pay for in today's world. A word of caution, this blower should not be used with a variable controller. It can, according to many people who answered the questions. The product I was looking for was crucial for me. This is due to the fact that my pellet burner provides the majority of my home's heat. We used a Propell pellet stove to cook on. I don't know if it's a two stage motor but it My motor runs a little hot, but I have used it for a mouth and there is no problem. There was no gasket included with it. It is cheaper to get allot.
