What effect will this have on cooling my shed? Can this be used as an exhaust fan to move hot air out of a shed?

The answer is yes. It's up to you if you want to. Quite a bit of air moves through it

Has anyone else received a short cable version of this device? A 8 foot black cable is all that is included with my blower, not the safety 15 foot yellow one that comes with it. ?

OH NO, mine has a long yellow cord and it's so long that I have to keep it from falling over. When you receive a cord that is the wrong length, send it back or contact Amazon.

Are you sure this unit has a thermal protection feature? It does not seem to be in the description of this 1/5 horsepower ?

The description states that it is thermally protected.

What about a barn in the summer that could use this to keep cool?

A moving air machine used in industry

Since it is designed for industrial use, you should expect it to be a bit noisy in a quiet area, although this thing is quite effective at moving air!.

little tool does a lot of work

There is nothing big about this fan, but it packs a lot of punch. We've been using it for around 10 hours a day for almost two weeks and it's still working well. In the event of a change, I will update the review.

A super-powerful weapon I think this is awesome

As a result, it moves air like no other machine. The office I work in faces west in the summer, and my air conditioning can't keep up with the Texas heat during the afternoon and my office is about 7 degrees hotter than the other office interiors. Even in the hallway next to my office, the air is cooler, so I use this amazing fan to move the cooler, lower air from the hallway into my office. In this case, the air moving into the office on the floor is cooler after moving up from the floor, causing the hot air to push into.

I can't believe it's so small! That's not to say you should be fooled. You've got to watch this little guy move! This fan makes a great addition to our summer deck, and I run it on low for those hot days. It didn't mention it was 3 speed in the description. This book is highly recommended.

There is no need for special tools to use it, and it produces plenty of air for a small instrument. The water is mainly used to cool him off when he is working outdoors during.

There is one that doesn't like being out much, but my guide dog enjoys it

In Texas, it sometimes goes so hot outside that it's unbearable and some of my guide dogs preferred the back door open to go in and out in search of June bugs. This fan keeps me cool and at some point, it makes me feel cold when I sit outside on my bench.
