When you look at the fan intake hole, what is the dia of the outer edge? There is a hole to cut for it, so I need to ensure that the hole saw I order is the right size. I appreciate it! ?

It was perfect to use a Milwaukee 6".

For circulation, I'm using this in an oven running at 400f (I don't think it will withstand the heat but the description says 450?). Some reviews say it cannot take the heat, but the description says ?

We have it running on that for the past 4 years and it is still running well.

Although I understand that the motor needs to be insulated, won't the heat travel up the shaft?

A difference cannot be made with what is being done. While the shaft rotates, the heat is dissipated.

Can you tell me how loud the sound is?

I would not call it Is a great running machine.

A durable material

For almost two years I have been running almost non-stop in a dirty dirty dirty exhaust pipe filled with dust. Nothing to worry about. It's funny how I forgot that the five blowers prior to that, all fell apart It is a high heat blower of excellent quality.

I use this in a homebuilt forge and it works well

There is a lot of air forced into it. forge in my home-built forge and I find it to be very reliable. As a result of the amount of air that it forces into the fire, metal can be heated rapidly.
