Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this instead of my snowblower for my driveway?

This Powerblanket is not intended to be used for snow removal. Powerblanket industrial heated blankets use conductive heat transfer, which means that the heated side of the Powerblanket must be in contact with the object to which the heat is being transferred. If you turned the Powerblanket heater around so the hot side was facing up, it wouldn't be in constant contact with any object and wouldn't work as intended. br>br>We do have a premium line of heated Summerstep snow melting mats that work great for snow removal and preventing snow accumulation when it snows. Both a residential and commercial Summerstep snow melting line is available, with various sized mats that can be connected to cover your driveway.

Resistant to alkali
5/5

Powerblankets are an excellent way to heat precisely what you need to heat without worrying about uneven, intermittent, overheating, or inefficient power consumption. br>br>I find them to be job-site tough, durable, and field repairable with the Vinyl repair kit and the HH-IIIIIIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIGIG 66 glue. They're tough and can withstand a lot of wear and tear. The machine-sewn stitching is extremely strong. The blankets have been securely fastened with belts, clasps, and reinforcing. They are durable and can withstand a lot of wear and tear. br>br>The thing that strikes me the most is how evenly the heat is distributed throughout the mat. It will distribute heat evenly, no matter what you wrap or cover it with. You can precisely dial in the temperature control if you use a temperature controller, such as the Beacon controllers with which Powerblankets has partnered. I like the fact that you can take temperature readings at multiple locations. Beacon even has an IoT connected controller that you can control and monitor remotely, whether it's inside the blanket, on the blanket's surface, or the temperature of the product. br>br>These blankets are fairly simple to work with. They not only heat but also insulate, which is why they are thick. They are, however, relatively light for their size, and they are somewhat rigid, making them easier to handle. It's similar to working out on light workout mats. Unlike some other materials, they remain flexible even in extremely cold temperatures. Even at lower temperatures, the cords remain flexible. Made in the United States of America. br>br> Yep. Designed, engineered, and built right here in the United States of America. ETL and UL/CAS certifications are available. They have a four-year average life span when used continuously. A six-year timeline has been set. Warranty is for one year. br>br>This concrete curing 5' x 10' heated area mat uses 720W and a nominal Amperage of 6A to cover 50 sq ft. It is approximately 30 pounds in weight. which is sufficiently heavy to remain in place even in a windy environment The vinyl covering resists alkalinity and is easy to clean. These are available in stock sizes of 3x4, 3x10, 3x20, 5x10, 5x20, and 10x10, as well as custom sizes.

Curing Solution in a Flash
5/5

My brother owns a small construction company that performs a lot of small concrete jobs. He's previously told me that the cold can cause the concrete to cure more slowly. We are fortunate to live in the south, where it is warm for the majority of the year, but it can be bitterly cold in the winter. I decided to get this Powerblanket solution for him to try out when I saw it. He'd previously relied on cheaper insulated blankets that didn't heat up as well as this one. The one he's using has a plug to heat up the blanket and provides a heated area of 5' x 10'. It reaches a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit and speeds up the curing process by three times. Because of its limited scope, it must be moved around for larger jobs to speed up the process, but it hasn't caused him any issues thus far. He's also been able to use it to warm up the ground or remove any frost/ice before working on a job site, and he's pleased that it's helped him reduce the time it takes for the concrete to cure. It costs a little money to buy, but it has ultimately saved him time and headaches when dealing with cracks.
