It comes in a package of five. They are the best brushes I've ever used! I bought them expecting only one, but these are really great!
My knowledge of Singer sewing machines can't help you with your question in this case, I have used these to clean 100 year old Singer sewing machines moving parts pretty rough. As long as I grasped the bristles really tight between my fingers and pulled them out, I was able to get the outside bristles out of the brush handle, though it took a lot of strain to get one or two out. As far as I remember, I did not use any shedding products.
No. If you use it like a paintbrush with strokes and are careful, I don't think it will do harm. There isn't much stiffness in these bristles.

I needed one of these brushes for a project and wasn't too worried about the price, but was pleasantly surprised to discover in the package that I received FIVE brushes, not only This is not mentioned anywhere in the description which may be why this is such an amazing deal Ensure that brushes are of high quality.
A package with five of these arrived to me. When I used them to clean my precious gems and fine silver pieces, I wasn't aware it was so heavy duty. The bristles are soft and do not fall out.
My grinder grinds last coffee, so I use it to clean out the final pieces of coffee. Everything seems to be working fine.
In most cases, the company sells this item in "gross" quantities. The brush set includes 144 brushes (144 sets). It was nice to be able to purchase only 5 per package because we did not need that many. We use them for a manufacturing project at our plant, and they are good quality.
The quality is good. The Frog Lube sticks help me keep all my firearms in good condition. Multiple uses keep them in good condition.
Stiffer bristles would have made a difference to me. It doesn't matter what they are for I still need.
Acid brushes cost a tiny fraction of this price, but they are the same. There are serious games being played.
