I purchased the two-pack so that I could keep one set in the kitchen and give the other to my mother. Clearing tight spaces or tubes, such as straws, with a set of these brushes is invaluable. The amount of "stuff" that came out of the inside of the metal straw my wife uses for her smoothies was amazing (disgusting) the first time I used one on it. The only problem is that because the metal wire is twisted to the top, there is no brush at each end. It wouldn't work when I tried to clean a small area with the end. In the end, I had to bend the cleaner to get it to do the job. I'd strongly suggest getting a set for those difficult-to-clean items.
I was happy to receive these brushes and put them to work cleaning my salad dressing bottle right away. My only gripe is that I wish it had been a little longer- I had a hard time getting to the bottom of the bottle. The bristles are extremely flexible, so one larger brush would have been preferable because it could easily flex to fit into tighter spaces. I intend to clean craft items with the second set. It would be preferable if the brushes were longer once again.
These were purchased for the purpose of cleaning old tobacco pipes. They're a little too soft to'scrape' residue, but they're great for cleaning out bottles. They look like baby bottle cleaners, but the handle is too flexible to turn in a small space, so you can only push forward and back with them. This severely restricts their utility. br>br>However, because of the price and variety, it still gets 5 stars. 2 sets of ten sizes, each bound in a ring so you can choose the one you need? Perfect! I wish the stem and bristles were stiffer, but there are still a lot of uses for these, especially since there are ten sizes to choose from!.
The word "nylon" is a key component of the description. I was hoping the larger brushes would be stiffer than lint cleaners and similar to toothbrushes. Not at all. But I can't blame the seller/manufacturer for my decision to purchase this item; yes, I had hoped for a stiffer brush that could be used more as a scrubber than a wiper. They're nice, but they're not exactly what I needed. You can't really imagine their size just by looking at the picture descriptions on the listing; hopefully, I'll be able to attach my photo.
