It is not powered, and all you have to do is insert a battery to test the battery meter and the pressure meter!

A good stand-alone deionizer at a reasonable price

The Elga B114/A Deionizer System is a low-cost way to produce deionized water for a laboratory (as in our case) or any other application. The unit is reasonably well constructed, but I docked a star because the cartridges could have been designed to fit more securely on top of the resistivity indicator. However, the water quality is excellent, and if your demand for deionized water is moderate, this could be a viable option for you as well.
