Questions & Answers

Is there a pump included to distribute water throughout the house?

You can, however, order a demand pump or, even better, the Remote Faucet System, which will deliver distilled water to various distribution points throughout your home for drinking and cooking. However, if by "whole house" you mean laundry, showers, dishwashing, and so on, distilled water is not a viable option.

Is there a taste of metal?

The unit comes with a carbon filter that removes any boiler or metallic flavor from the water. I've had this unit for over a year and have had no problems with it. It was also very simple to set up. I hope you find this information useful.

What is the size of the tank? Not the holding tank; it wasn't mentioned in the description, and the 8 gallon one stated that it only held one gallon. I'm not sure if it's di, but it's 5 gallons. ?

12 quarts

Is there a way to use this by hand as well?

I believe it is possible, but I would recommend purchasing a manual model instead. Because the tank is heated and boiling the water, and the tank is small, I would find it difficult to keep it full of water through the top access lid.

This is the best purchase I've ever made for my family and pets, and it saves me money over buying bottled water! I waited a year to leave a comment because I wanted it to be accurate and helpful to my Amazon-based consumer brothers and sisters!! br>br>So this distiller is a beast; it's never stopped working and produces the world's most delicious water on a daily basis
5/5

We use it for drinking water, and I connected it to my refrigerator so that we can have distilled water and ice as well! If you're looking at these distillers, it's possible that your drinking water isn't safe to drink and that you're slowly poisoning yourself to death. Chemicals, including prescription and recreational drugs, as well as poop and pee, are all present in your water. Don't believe me when I say this isn't a joke. Simply do your homework and look up sodium fluoride, which is present in your drinking water. A regular refrigerator filter, on the other hand, only removes large chemicals and bacteria. All of the bad stuff in water, on the other hand, is much higher on the chart, and distillers remove about 99 percent of it. 98 percent of all the bad stuff out there is gone except for Uranium, which, if it's in our water, means we're all doomed! br>br>Peace out, my Worldly family, and remember to treat others as you would like to be treated, so that we can all live happier, healthier lives!! DD, as always, br>br>.

This distiller is great because it doesn't have a chlorine taste to it
5/5

Prior to this, I owned a countertop unit from a different manufacturer for several years. I also purchased and returned a similar-priced automatic distiller from a different brand. If you can afford it, I recommend going with 12 gallons per day instead of 8 gallons per day for the generation rate. It means the distiller will finish faster and will spend less time pumping heat into the room in which it is located. I had bought and returned an 8-gallon-per-day unit from another manufacturer. At the age of 12, this model has proven to be a valuable asset. br>br>It's simple to clean this distiller. The boiler can be removed without the need for surgery. For cleaning purposes, I recommend having a nearby water supply, such as a faucet. Using a 3-inch hose and a faucet, I created a hose/faucet. a two-way splitter with a shutoff valve on the incoming water supply line We use that to flush it with water whenever we need to clean it. It must be cleaned on a regular basis. br>br> I've been cleaning once a week and have had good results using both Lumen and Kleenwise cleaners. Fill it halfway with water, add some boiled water to warm it up, then add the cleaner and leave it to sit overnight. Then drain and rinse with fresh water using a bucket. br>br>This distiller's water is far superior to the others I've tried! There isn't a hint of chlorine. The filtering system, as well as the chlorine drain hole in the pipe, make a big difference. The presence of a post-filter is significant. The other one I bought and returned lacked a post filter and had a blocked chlorine drain hole, resulting in stale water. A pre filter by itself, in my opinion, is not enough. The installation instructions are the only drawback. br>br> They should be updated to include illustrations for each step. I was able to figure it out because I had previously owned distilleries. However, it needs to be re-written. written in order to be improved Any plumbing mysteries were solved with a trip to the hardware store and a conversation with a helpful employee there. I'm getting water from a cold water supply that feeds a washing machine, which I rigged up at the faucet with some hardware store adapters. It's quite effective. In the laundry room, it also keeps the distiller hidden. I'm not going to wear the piercing t-shirt. instead of using fitted adapters to supply the distiller, use fitted adapters that fork off another line. This is the path I recommend. One installation tip. br>br> It's nearly impossible to get the rubber tubing connecting to the post filter onto the valve. The solution is to boil water and heat the rubber tubing's end for a minute or so in the boiling water. The heated tubing can then be easily slipped onto the plastic fitting. br>br>We use the water from this distiller to fill a water dispenser. Obtain a comprehensive report. It will fit perfectly beneath the distiller outlet if you use a 3 gallon jug with a width of 3 inches. br>br>This distiller is fantastic and well worth the money; the water tastes completely different than tap water. It's also far superior to the other two distillers I had. The fact that there is no chlorine taste is remarkable, and we add some Concentrace mineral drops to the distilled water after it is finished to add minerals. It's the purest and best-tasting water we've ever tasted. It's also amazing to see how much garbage was left in the distiller boiling tank from the tap water.

This unit has a top opening for cleaning the heater tank, which is very useful for keeping the tank salt-free.
