Questions & Answers
I believe it is highly unlikely that this unit has been tested in a lab. The plug is a two-prong plug, at the very least. Despite being polarized, the unit does not have a separate ground wire.
The lamp measures 20 inches long from base to end.

I took it out of the box, tested it, and everything appeared to be in working order. The next day, when I returned to the lab to demonstrate the new scope light, one of the two lights had stopped working. A half-lives-over-24-hours survival rate isn't great. Making a light that turns on should be relatively simple. That's all there is to it, though.
It was great to have dual brightness settings when I turned it on for a work session under the microscope. When I turned it on the second time, it worked for a few minutes before flickering and going out, never to be seen again. You might be able to open it up and fix it if you know how to fix cheap wiring; however, I was unable to do so. At the very least, Amazon was accommodating in terms of a return. refund!.
This does not produce nearly as much light as standard fiber optic halogen bulbs. The money spent was not well spent.
Each gooseneck can be adjusted separately, making this a very nice little illuminator. Slightly dimmer than I had anticipated (reflectors around the LEDS would help - Although 3W per LED should suffice, the light intensity is more than enough.
Exceptional. a fantastic item.
After only a few days, it stopped working.
