Questions & Answers
Low voltage (only 24v)
Yes, it is.
I can detect what I believe is ozone. I'll use it when I'm gone for an extended period of time and then air it out when I return.
They will replace it if it arrives damaged. When it comes to a guarantee, It's a UV lamp, also known as a lightbulb, and according to the labeling on my unit, it "Should" be replaced once a year. Every two years, I change mine. Just like a regular fluorescent tube, the fact that it is still lit does not mean it is functioning properly.

Day 1 after bulb installationbr>br>About 5 months ago, I had my AC guy install a GreenUV G500 uv lamp, as well as a new aluminum/aluminum A coil to replace my old aluminum/copper A coil due to corrosion and preventative maintenance. Because of their non-corrosive material, the newer, all-aluminum coils last longer, but one thing I noticed after it was installed was a moldy, dirty smell as soon as the AC turned on. I didn't give it much thought other than to assume there was mold in the ducts. I assumed I'd have to hire a professional to clean the ducts or replace them eventually. Months passed, and the odor worsened as the climate in South Florida became increasingly hot and humid. I then began purchasing coil cleaners, which did little more than foam up an already clean, practically new coil, but to no avail. Before giving up, I came across a video on YouTube about "dirty sock syndrome," which, according to my research, occurs most frequently on today's newer all-aluminum coils as soon as the air conditioner is turned on. According to the video, spraying Pine Sol on the coils will fix the problem, but the Pine Sol must contain at least 8. 7% true pine oil for use at work The 8. appears to have been removed after the Clorox company purchased Pine Sol. 7% of the chemicals were used by themselves. In any case, I decided to give it a shot, and it worked flawlessly for two days before the foul odor reappeared. I had given up and decided to live with it at this point. My uv light bulb had burned out last week, so I ordered this one, which arrived about two hours ago. I turned back on my hvac breaker after installing the new bulb, and the unit began to operate. I couldn't believe what happened just a few seconds after the air conditioner was turned on. The odor was completely gone, replaced by a light ozone scent that I really enjoy. I couldn't believe a bulb could make such a difference because the one that came with my ultraviolet light didn't. This bulb has made a huge difference in my sleep, as the bad odor had been bothering me. I've never written a review like this before, but I felt compelled to do so. I hope this information is useful to anyone else who is dealing with this issue. Any changes will be communicated to you.
It works fine, but it has an odd odor. Although it isn't supposed to smell like ozone, it does. Because ozone is particularly harmful to people with lung problems, such as myself, I had no choice but to turn off the light and look for alternatives. If you have COPD or other breathing problems, don't buy this light.
The solid base and thick glass give this the appearance of being a high-quality product. It arrived in excellent condition. It's simple to take apart and reassemble; It's packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube. The holes for the mounting screws on this model have open edges. As a result, you won't have to worry about the holes being exactly where you need them for your model. This is my second year using this product, which performed admirably the first year and did not burn out. I'm just following the rules, which state that the bulbs should be replaced once a year. The UV production appears to diminish over time, but it's still cheaper than the $135 that my local HVAC company wants for just the bulb. Installation is not included in the price. There's no need to install anything. Just make sure the power is turned off before turning on the air handler. The bulb's light has the potential to cause eye damage.
Not a UV- C lamp. The smell of ozone is very strong. This isn't a UV-resistant material. A germicidal lamp with the letter C. It emits an ozone odor that is both unpleasant and potentially harmful. The odor pervaded the entire house, clothing, and other items; I would not recommend it.
A strong ozone odor emanates from this bulb. I bought replacements because I needed them and drove right past our return window, leaving us stranded. I strongly discourage you from doing so.
I have my doubts about the output wavelength after smelling ozone in the house after replacing the lamp in the A/C unit. Where does it say it's a 254nm lamp that doesn't produce ozone in the description? I don't want to hurt my parrot, so I'll take it away and try to get it back!.
The mounting screws on the Bulb that was sent to me were in the wrong places. Compare and contrast my image with the one in the ad. It's supposed to be for my unit, but it's not working. I missed the return deadline by a few days, and Amazon refused to accept it, despite LSE's advice to simply send it back.
Ozone is supposed to be produced by C 254nm, but it doesn't. The lamp and A/C unit were easy to install, but a strong ozone odor filled the entire house as soon as they were turned on. After a few hours, I began to feel the effects of ozone exposure, including a mild headache, and I switched off the lamp.
