How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Pure substance spectral lines are demonstrated using a spectrum tube.
To produce light for spectral analysis, it contains hydrogen (H) gas under pressure.
Light wavelengths are observed using a 0cm capillary in the center.
Conductivity is provided by a straight form with side electrodes.
It is 26 inches long. 0cm (H)

Questions & Answers

What is the voltage and current that should be used? Thanks?

I went with a solid-colored background. Transformer for neon signs in the state of New York, 7. 30mA at 5KVAC After striking, the tube enters a constant-on mode. presently in use By operating for less than 20 seconds and allowing for cooling between cycles, the illumination was sufficient and nominally bright, and there were no issues with heat. Only the negative side (cathode) of a DC bulb will light up, so AC is preferred. Because electrodes are exposed, this is not a good project for a classroom or a hobbyist. As a result of the questioner's request for specifics, I responded that if you are unfamiliar with high voltage practices and safety requirements (I'm an electrical engineer), you should buy a commercial fixture.

Is there a company that sells spectrum tube storage racks and holders?

That would be fantastic, but I've never seen anything like it. I made mine out of an inch thick piece of packing foam that I slit 3/4 of the way through with a utility knife for each tube about an inch apart, allowing the tubes to be safely held in the foam before being placed in an appropriate sized box. It's not pretty, but this is the first time I've ever had a break like this.

Everything went off without a hitch
5/5

Great price, was available on Prime, came in excellent packaging for an otherwise fragile device, and worked perfectly. EISCO has been extremely generous in making these books available on Amazon. br>br>The image depicts it being energized. When my wife walked into the kitchen and said what the h, she intuitively deduced Planck's constant, so it's also a good teaching tool.

I was employed by a hydrogen emission laboratory
5/5

Before all of our students could see the spectrum, the last hydrogen tubes we bought burned out. I bought these out of desperation because I needed something fast and hoped they'd work. In addition, they were reasonably priced. They performed admirably, and I am glad I purchased them. They are still working, so there is no way of knowing how long they will be alive.

It performs as expected, but at a low level of intensity. Very delicate.

It works. When connected to the 400kv power supply, it glows a lovely pink color. For my experiment, it appears that I will require a different type of hydrogen tube. Apart from that, I'll probably need a lot of magnet wire for the field effect coils and a way to make a plastic capacitor to convert the tube's high volts into usable power. I was considering a tube with a diameter of 3 inches or a diameter of 2 inches and a length of 5 to 6 inches. However, hydrogen is easily ionized in all other respects.
