I aren't as certain as well as well as well as well as well Polypropylene was used to make it. The FDA has approved polypropylene for use in food packaging, but not all polypropylene plastics are created equal. To suit their purpose, some polypropylene plastics (for example, certain labware) contain additives. br>br>For making my own ginger ale, I use this polypropylene filter funnel. Just before bottling, I use this filter funnel to filter the cloudy brew. With a brush and dish soap, I scrub the funnel clean. br>br>I can't say this product is food grade because the seller says it's for educational purposes. I'd go for a fritted-corn tortilla. Because this machine has a 90 mm internal diameter, it can only take 90 mm paper. References to 110 and 125 mm are misleading. Aside from that, it's a product that does what it's supposed to do at a reasonable price. for 90 mm papers.
It's a nice item, but it's a little too big for me. Unless you have a very large filter flask (which I don't think you do), I think the 7cm diameter funnel is the right size. 500 milliliters), a high-concentration solution With a moderate vacuum (the vacuum must pull on a larger area, reducing its effect) and a large amount of material to filter, I believe the 7cm diameter funnel is the best choice. It's critical to keep in mind the following: This funnel isn't recommended for use with 7-inch funnels. Filter paper with an 8 cm diameter The size of the paper is insufficient. The 7cm funnel is perfectly sized for 7cm paper. This should probably be printed on 9cm paper.
This isn't Polypropylene, because it melted completely in my autoclave at around 121 degrees Celsius. I've autoclaved other REAL polypropylene pieces with no problems in the same autoclave, and polypropylene plastic has a melting point of 160 degrees Celsius. I ruined my autoclave and spent the better part of the day trying to clean out the melted plastic. The product is not autoclavable, as it claims, and it is definitely not polypropylene, as I was able to dissolve it with Acetone while attempting to clean the ruined plastic out of the autoclave, whereas polypropylene is resistant to Acetone. Product is terrible, and the title is deceiving. 1 star.
The funnel works well, but the recommended filter size of 7 is too small. Filters with a diameter of 9 cm are recommended. I'm out $6 on the smaller paper as a result of this error.
Coffee filters were all I had on hand. Your local grocery store is much cheaper and has more options.
Liquids aren't completely drained out. A surface tension coating has been applied to the plastic.
There are no issues when using an ethanol/water solution.
This is an excellent two-piece set. Molding is done well; There is no warping, particularly where the filter paper comes into contact.
