Originally, I thought they would not be of high quality, and therefore wouldn't be worth the purchase. I am still SO delighted with these low form beakers and narrow mouth flasks, however! My students and I conduct science experiments at least once a week together in Special Education middle school. Finally, I decided to buy the real thing instead of wasting time and money using random coffee mugs, bowls, and plastic water bottles. My heart is so happy that Despite boiling water baths, expanding chemicals and gaseous mixtures, and the delicate hands of many young people, these beakers and flasks have remained in great shape! Buying more in the future is sure to be a wise decision. I'll be using these for years to come! It is great to be able to purchase a product that is sturdy, effective, and affordable!.

The update is So far, the dishwasher has been great for them. It is something I can use as an added bonus. They worked perfectly as juice carafes for a mimosa station. We were looking for flasks for juice carafes. Despite their small size, they pour nicely, and the opening is just a little wider than most wine bottle stoppers, but we were able to use whiskey corks. Their primary use is not intended. Not what we were looking for, but exactly what we needed. The cleaning process is easy and the material is In addition to being well packaged, they arrived in good condition.
It worked for my homebrew yeast starters. I used this when I brew beer and it was exactly what I hoped for. My gas range allowed the vessel to boil directly over the hot surface of the water. I cooled them rapidly in a water bath and they kept their shape as I expected borosilicate scientific flasks to. The product is sturdy and of good quality.
A total of two 1000ml flasks have been sent to me. As soon as the glass got hot, the glass cracked and I got toxic smoke all over me the next day, the first one that I put on the hotplate with sulfuric acid. A second hot dog is being cooked. Within two minutes, I did the same thing. The vase should be sold as a flower vase only, because there is no safety in using them as anything else. I'd guess that they were all made in China.
For our first experiment, the beakers worked perfectly. However, when the beakers were placed in the plastic basket to bring to the sink to be cleaned, one of the beakers broke from the side, when it bumped into another. Although they were fragile, I couldn't help but break one after careful handling.
In addition to being thin, the glass is prone to cracking because of pressure rather than temperature. One of them was damaged in the box during the first shipment. The excellent customer service provided by Amazon sent me a replacement at no cost for these two starters. I bought them for my beer brewing and they are easy to use The price is goodbye with them.
To accomplish this, another size of stoppers will need to be purchased.
